Fox, MSNBC, CBS call North Carolina for Hagan

CNN calls Hagan in NC as well. Looks like Dole's disgusting ads backfired.

KY senate - McConnell/Lunsford - too close to call

Shaheen well ahead of Sununu in NH (56-41) with 10% in.

plz plz plz Judy Baker for 9th congressional MO district.

Please please please no Michelle Bachman or Norm Coleman.

FOX calls it for McConnell. FOX also called a GA Chambliss win. Dems need to run the table on the rest of the Senate seats which are winable to get to 60. VERY GOOD NEWS

Those were the two I was gonna mention. C'mon Minnesota don't let me down.

Shaheen for NH Senate called by CNN

Udall of New Mexico also called

So that's 2 nore Dems.

Keep an eye on the Mississippi Senate Race Musgrove vs. Wicker. The fact that Miss hasn't been called for McCain gives me hope that the Dems could still get to 60 seats if they win that one.

The Colorado Udall (the New Mexico one already won) has a pretty big lead so far.

CNN seems to be a bit more cautious, and that is what I am watching.

Interesting that 2 Udalls (cousins) will be in the Senate now.

FOX cals Mississippi senate race for Wicker

What I honestly hope is that the Dems have enough gains to kick Lieberman out of their caucus.

eh I give up thinking we'll get 60

the Democrats won't get to 60, but they will still have plenty of room to peel off Republican votes to avoid filibusters an a lot of stuff.

I've thought that for a while. On Many isssues, there are cross overs. So, even 57 or 58 is a very strong majority.

58 is what will happen if Franken wins.

also, the Democrats have some conservative Democrats holding seats, so a really totally over the top agenda probably wouldn't have worked.

I don't think you'd see one supported by Obama.

Look for him to push his tax cut, a jobs program, and some ethics reform packages. Nothing earthshaking, just stuff to make stuff happen. Obama will be a boring president. That's what matters.

Energy bill soon as well. I thoroughly agree with Tom Friedman that the key to a prosperous 21st century america is leading the world in energy technology

Rep. Shays (R-CT) defeated
