  1. Obama Hits Back At Author of Lie Filled Anti-Obama Book I gotta give credit to the Obama campaign. In the past, people say "they misrepresented the truth" or "htey arent telling the truth". Obama's campaign is flat out calling this guy a liar. And recently they have called McCain's ads lies. Lair sure sounds worse than "misrepresented the truth". Liar sticks with people.
  2. I know NOTHING about this kid. What is his projection? upside?
  3. Week in Review (Aug 6th- Aug 12th) Shiftless Washington (Elway Poll) - Obama 47%, McCain 35%....... Obama +12 Florida (PPP (D)) - McCain 47%, Obama 44%....... McCain +3 New York (Quinnipiac) - Obama 57%, McCain 36%....... Obama +21 Oregon (SurveyUSA) - Obama 48%, McCain 45%....... Obama +3 Wisconsin (WPRI) - Obama 44%, McCain 38%....... Obama +6 New Jersey (Rasmussen) - Obama 52%, McCain 42%....... Obama +10 New York (Rasmussen) - Obama 55%, McCain 36%....... Obama +19 Alabama (AEA/Capital Survey) - McCain 47%, Obama 34%....... McCain +13 Massachusetts (Rasmussen) - Obama 54%, McCain 38%....... Obama +16 Wisconsin (Rasmussen) - Obama 51%, McCain 44%....... Obama +7 Washington (Rasmussen) - Obama 54%, McCain 42%....... Obama +12 Missouri (Rasmussen) - McCain 50%, Obama 44%....... McCain +6 Michigan (Rasmussen) - Obama 49%, McCain 45%....... Obama +4 Colorado (PPP (D)) - Obama 48%, McCain 44%....... Obama +4 Oregon (Rasmussen) - Obama 52%, McCain 42.%...... Obama +10 Iowa (Rasmussen) - Obama 49%, McCain 44%....... Obama +5 Virginia (SurveyUSA) - Obama 47,% McCain 48.%...... McCain +1 Kentucky (SurveyUSA) - McCain 55,% Obama 37%....... McCain +18 The title says it all. My analysis this week is very simple: nothing's changed. Virginia is still a true battle ground state showing a near tie in the most recent round of polls. All the other states haven't changed much at all.
  4. At the ripe old age of 91, Ernest Borgnine was asked the secret to his longevity and why he still looks so good. His answer... well... it may surprise you.

  6. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Aug 13, 2008 -> 06:46 PM) No quote is the "mistake of the election". That's way over the top. Sorry, I think i miss wrote that. I meant is I think it's HIS mistake of the election. Like the Obama "bitter" comments.
  7. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 13, 2008 -> 04:59 PM) The President of Georgia is clearly listening to the statements coming from Senator McCain and is asking the Senator to live up to his statements publically. Thoughts? Last i checked, McCain cant send troops. McCain isnt an official diplomat (although he is sending he own people to Georgia to evaluate the situation.... presumptuous much???). McCain cant produce sanctions on Russia. Much like any other person who is running for president who isnt already the president, the most McCain can offer is his words as to what he would do IF he was president.
  8. Brzezinksi: I Expect Powell To Endorse Obama
  9. I love the HuffingtonPost: Maybe this is all ado about nothing, but this might be the "mistake" of the election. I've been waiting for a while for McCain to make a "bitter" mistake, and this MAY be it, but only time will tell. It makes for a great "anti-Iraq war" ad: Voice Over: In 2002, John McCain said we must overthrow Saddam. To this day he says he'd do it all over again. But when it comes to a country for which one of his chief advisers lobbied on behalf off... he has a very different tone: "in the 21st century nations don't invade other nations." Tie Iraq and lobbyist. BRILLIANT!
  10. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 13, 2008 -> 05:20 PM) :30 video clip at link for context, talking about Georgia. He's being totally serious. In what imaginary world does John McCain live in to think we are beyond war? Obviously he's forgotten about Afghanistan and Iraq. Secondly, until the second coming of Christ there will ALWAYS be war and nation against nation. True world peace will NEVER happen.
  11. Have no fear: Presumptive President McCain is sending his own delegation to Georgia to assess the situation.

  13. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Aug 13, 2008 -> 10:54 AM) hmmm.... i... ummm..... i need some alone time
  14. QUOTE (Rex Kicka** @ Aug 12, 2008 -> 11:55 PM) If the US was smart, they would be fast tracking NATO membership for Ukraine about right now. ahhhh astute point.
  15. QUOTE (kapkomet @ Aug 13, 2008 -> 10:04 AM) When you read what's been leaked of the "compromise", it's no different then what's in place today, so let's (not you personally, the people who are trying to make it sound like this is some "breakthrough") just stop with the theatrics, huh? I would argue it's very different than what's in place today. It dramatically increases funding to alternative energy, increases taxes on oil, makes off-shore drilling "states rights", sets a goal of 85% non-oil based cars in 20 year (i think it was 20 years). It's a pretty drastic in my opinion.
  16. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Aug 13, 2008 -> 10:22 AM) Am I the only one that thinks it's strange that the GOP is attacking Obama for having too many people liking him? Should he be trying to get as few people to like him as possible? THe GOP often forgets about oh say... Reagan and the Governator. It's ok for THEM to be a celebrity with little experience (especially in Arnold's case), but naaa.... not Obama.
  17. Russian convoy heads into Georgia, violating truce This is no longer a "liberation" of the rebel regions (like it ever really was), it's an out right invasion to restore the USSR.
  18. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Aug 12, 2008 -> 11:06 PM) Yeah, I think it's very likely most of them are under 16. But what does that say about them when 12-16 year olds are beating the s*** out of 16-20 year olds? It says these kids have been in virtual slavery since they wee 3. This is all they know.
  19. QUOTE (tommy @ Aug 12, 2008 -> 11:03 PM) I like how you guys are discussing this in the olympic thread. It is so clear those Chinese girls are under 16, I mean just look at them! KIDS. Not a doubt in my mind. That's what happens when you have a communist government that can just make stuff up so they can "prove" they are better than anyone else.
  20. QUOTE (ChWRoCk2 @ Aug 12, 2008 -> 04:00 PM) Was I the only one yesterday who thought the US mens gymnastics team was getting the shaft on some of their scores? How is China getting all their medals? Ridiculous. MSNBC is about to talk about the scoring system problems in a few minutes.
