  1. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 27, 2007 -> 05:12 PM) Do you watch basketball? Amare Stoudamire can score inside on a lot of dunks and rebound fairly well. But he can't shoot a jumper consistantly. Tyrus Thomas can dunk like a mad man, block shots and get rebounds. He cannot shoot a jumper consistantly as well. They both have the same skill set, Stoudamire is just a larger body in weight.
  2. QUOTE(MurcieOne @ Jun 27, 2007 -> 05:44 PM) the s***ball classic is indigenous to Soxtalk..... much like the prarie dog to this region.... btw prairie dog is Mark Buehrle's 2nd favorite dog like animal. (i think i read it somewhere) No wonder the guy in my sig is so dramatic.
  3. BREAKING NEWS! Garland's growing the odd Buehrle beard.
  4. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Jun 27, 2007 -> 04:49 PM) ...talk about "man-crushes" and everyone gets hot under the collar! "I just can't quit you."
  5. Man, I forgot how crappy the callers on Boers and Bernstein are.
  6. Offman still says they are close.
  7. QUOTE(Steff @ Jun 27, 2007 -> 04:05 PM) And Jas, it wasn't an assumption. It was a direct quote from Mark's agent. Bruce is a lot of things, but a liar is not one of them. Yeah. He only "carpet bombs" breaking news and trades.
  8. QUOTE(chiguy79 @ Jun 27, 2007 -> 03:52 PM) OJ simpson still lives fine off his NFL pension. I dunno, he makes good money hunting down the real killers of his wife and Ronald Goldman on the finest golf courses throughout the state of Florida.
  9. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Jun 27, 2007 -> 03:46 PM) ...the guy stands a few feet from the basket, and the second he is open, Nash gets him the ball. Exactly. Very limited and has a low skill set. I'd rather have Garnett if I'm giving up the #9, Thomas AND Gordon.
  10. Animal cruelty at its worst. (It's safe to look at) http://media.vmixcore.com/15/55/25/4388886...8d94ba5b407.jpg
  11. Stoudamire is a brute, but this team needs a more rounded power forward since Wallace is so limited as well.
  12. QUOTE(retro1983hat @ Jun 27, 2007 -> 03:16 PM) Levine's ego is so huge, he would never even acknowledge the fact someone scooped him. How soon we forget ol' Brucie.
  13. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 27, 2007 -> 03:15 PM) Wow....I assume being able to put the ball in the basket isn't a skill? At that close of a range.. ie. a dunk... no, not really.
  14. HELLLOOOOO!!! Reading is Fundamental, kids. I said that their styles were similar and that it wouldn't be much a a "game" improvement. 1)Neither can make a shot past the arc 2)Both are very explosive inside 3)Both are close in height 4) Both are close in age Stoudamire brings nothing in skill that Thomas doesn't bring. If Thomas added 20 pounds of muscle, you'd see more similarities. Yes, Stoudamire is heavier, he's also more expensive contract-wise, has an injury past, and he'd cost Ben Gordon as well.
  15. QUOTE(CanOfCorn @ Jun 27, 2007 -> 10:50 AM) Maybe he was blowing kisses? That DOES seem like Steve.
  16. Stoudamire, while very powerful and manchild-ish, doesn't seem much of an improvement over Thomas in playing style. They both have very limited "games".
  17. Man, 5 years 75 mil seems more realistic.
  18. Carlos Pena makes more sense for the Yanks.
  19. You missed the comment right after, "Well you can't check every bat". And, the real winner there, "How amazing that these runs were scored so quickly, JUST. LIKE THAT." Joe Magrane. Ugh. For a broadcaster, he's a very good ex-pitcher.
  20. Great. Now Kenny can slobber on his shoes every Spring while looking at every Dodger prospect that he wishes he had drafted instead of drafting Ken Williams Jr. and Oney Guillen.
  21. mms://a1503.v108692.c10869.g.vm.akamaistream.net/7/1503/10869/v0001/mlb.download.akamai.com/10869/2007/open/tp/archive06/062607_chatba_cha_b2b_hr_tp_350.wmv?ct3=-1&ct4=mlb&ct5=27-Jun-07 Copy and paste this link. Is that color guy in line for worst TV guy ever or what?
  22. What about if it was "Baby Rapers 4 Jesus"? Would that change things at all?
