  1. Maybe if Josh would stop whining and pick up his play he wouldn't have to worry about Beckham being up here.
  2. QUOTE (TitoMB345 @ Jun 8, 2009 -> 07:50 PM) I don't think anyone is suggesting BA start over Pods.. at all. Not anymore that is...
  3. QUOTE (GREEDY @ Jun 8, 2009 -> 07:29 PM) Dear Josh, Clean out your vagina and hope Ozzie lets your ass DH against LHP. Love, Greedy I was thinking he should pick up his ovaries and learn how to field a damn ball....not to mention learn to f***ing hit....
  4. QUOTE (whitesoxmanager @ Jun 8, 2009 -> 02:04 PM) dont swing at the hangers...swing at the ones in the dirt. that is a great approach. But that's White Sox baseball!!!
  5. Oh well I am going to go do something.. anything else. This has become a waste of an afternoon thus far.
  6. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Jun 7, 2009 -> 01:56 PM) I like KW, but I really think we would be better off with Hahn running the show. He uses numbers much more than KW who is a feel GM. I wonder what he "feels" about what he is seeing day in and day out.... can't be happy with this crap.
  7. Geez...this is pathetic. This guy sucks but we never seen him so he will dominate us....
  8. I wonder if Oz has given any thought to Alexei to CF and Beckham SS....
  9. QUOTE (Jimbo's Drinker @ Jun 7, 2009 -> 01:28 PM) How long do you really except us to ride the Bartolo "beefcake" train? A hell of a lot longer than we should sadly.
  10. Wonder if KW would take a look at Atkins?? He isn't hitting right now but Walker will fix em Atkins Could Lose Playing Time, Trade Value? By Nat Boyle [June 7 at 12:14pm CST] What to do with Garrett Atkins? The cleanup hitter for the Rockies has not been cleaning up, hitting .190 with only 5 homeruns and a mere .579 OPS. He's seen his slugging percentage decline each year since 2006. Troy E. Renck of the Denver Post says the Rockies have five players for four infield spots and Atkins is likely to be the odd man out. If he can produce at the plate, the Rockies will play him with hopes that he'll regain significant trade value. If he can't, will the Rockies want to use him off the bench? Atkins does have minor league options remaining. Atkins recently changed contact lenses and has seen recent improvement (albeit in a small sample size), hitting 2 of his 5 homeruns on June 4. Yesterday, Renck wrote, "Atkins has three hits in the past two games, emerging from his offensive coma. The Cardinals are seeking a third a baseman, but like all suitors, are waiting to see if Atkins consistently regains his swing." Atkins is making $7.05MM this season. What would you do? Choose your own adventure: Send Atkins down to hope he regains his swing in Triple A? Shop him at his current value? Wait until the trade deadline to see if Atkins can demonstrate his power potential?
  11. Nice we finally decide to win but of course Detroit had to win as well...
  12. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 6, 2009 -> 12:55 PM) Maybe he's spent too much time in the last 2 days talking to Anderson. He needs to pick better friends...
  13. Hell with the way they are playing now... after the series with Detroit the Sox could actually be closer to the white flag trades than "going for it".
  14. Personally, I can't blame Beckham... he just doesn't look ready for this. This team has so many more problems than to have to blame stuff on this kid.
