  1. Yeah Southsider. That would be cool...Thanks////
  2. LOL...I couldn't read all that. But yeah. He acts like Maddux is 28 or somethin. At his age and the fact he's no longer capable of 200 innings he's seriously askin for too much money...As long as he doesn't go to the Cubs it's all good :fthecubs
  3. Cheat...If youre right about Rauch i'll give u all my paychecks for a month. I've been waiting 3 years on Jon Rauch. If he doesn't do anything this year i'm done with him...
  4. Naw. I'm HARDLY stupid. Just tryin to make a point. I'm sure MOST people understand it...
  5. I agree with all yours except for Diaz as the 5th starter. I really think Person is gonna get a shot as our 5th starter. If only because he's had success as a starter before...I also think Marvin Benard has a chance to make the team...
  6. LOL@the blackhawks at 120...Good thing I don't like hockey...
  7. Another good point. I for one just get sick and tired of the Cubs talk. I mean if u didn't know anything about baseball. You would think Chicago had 1 team. I just think it might atleast get on the nerves or some of our guys. Even though they might not come out and say it...I realize r guys have to be motivated anyway. I just think the Cubs gettin as close as they did will give them just a lil bit more. Just me though...
  8. Maybe it's just me. It just looks to me that against the Cubs they play to win. To where against the Twins they play not to lose. That could have somethin to do with the fact the Twins have been kickin our ass for the last 3 years...
  9. I see what you guys r sayin. But c'mon now. You guys no for a fact that the Sox get up to play the Cubs more then they do any other team. That includes the Twins, Yankees or whoever. I think it had to sting a lil bit more that it was the Cubs makin that run compared to if it was Houston or whatever. I mean this is enough of a CUBS town as it is.
  10. It will be Harris. And i'm all for it. I'm all about givin everybody a chance. We know he can fly. If he can hit .275 i'll be happy...
  11. I was just thinkin. Do you guys think the run the Cubs went on last year will MOTIVATE the Sox? Everybody knows about the rivarly between the 2 teams. I have to believe it bothered the White Sox players that they were home sittin on their ass's while the Cubs were makin a world series run...I mean the Cubs were basically AMERICA'S DARLINGS for that month. If i'm a White Sox player i'm f***in sick of the love and attention the Cubs get. If i'm a Sox player I wanna go out there and let the ENTIRE world know that there r TWO teams in Chicago. Let me know what you guys think...
  12. I think with the team we have now we could win 85-87 gms. And the good thing about that is the division can be won with that amount of wins. Orginally I was really down that we hadn't made any moves. But after a few weeks of really thinkin about it. This team might not be as bad as we think. For one. We had a lot of guys UNDERPERFORM last year. Mainly Koch and Konerko. In some ways Mark Buehrle and Joe Crede. If Koch, Konerko, and Buehrle perform like the have most of their careers THE WHOLE year that makes us a lot better right there. Crede had a really bad 1st half. Came alive in the 2nd...But I really believe last year was a good learning experience for him. And I totally expect .280, 25 hr's , 80-90 rbi's from him in 2004. I'm PRAYING Loaiza proves that 2003 was no fluke. Listening to a couple guys on the radio and the Hawk. They all think that this will FINALLY be the year Jon Garland breaks out. I guess they feel Jerry Manuel was holdin him back, and that could very well be true. Schowenweis as our #4 worries me a lil bit. But the organazation seems to have confidence in him. Hopefully Robert Person can be this years Loaiza. And the thing that seperates him from Loaiza is that he's HAD SUCCESS BEFORE. 5th starter is a toss-up between 4-5 guys. Hopefully one of our TALENTED pitching prospects steps up and fills the void. As far as our bullpen goes. Koch is the key. If he's even 90% of what he was in 02 we have a much better pen. I feel will be ok offensively...We know what Maggs, Lee, and Frank can do. Like I said earlier Crede will be fine. But it's now time for Willie Harris and Aaron Rowand to show what they can do. Bottomline is we have to have a lot of guys perform like they have in the past and like they're capable to win the this division. AND THANK GOD WE'RE IN THE SORRY ASS CENTRAL
