Another point I like to make when comparing al and nl pitchers is that obviously in the al u have to face the dh, meaning u face 9 solid hitters in the american league. In the nl u have the automatic out in pitcher making it somewhat easier...

Very good points. I've always though Wood was kinda overrated. I mean when he's on he can be devestating. But when he's off he's out in the 2nd inning...I think Prior after only 1 full season is a better pitcher than Wood...

If Oswalt had been healthy and made his 30-35 starts I think they would have won the division last year. Everybody is jockin he Cubs. But I still think the Astros have just as good a depth if not slightly more in the starting pitching department...

I thought Wright's main problem before last year was just being consistent. Then last year he was just awful. U could attribute that to his injury early in the season. But he's had enough success that he should get atleast a shot at the 5th spot...

Yeah. After I really thought about it this team might not even be as good as the 98 or 99 Yankee teams. On paper it looks amazing. But like u said they've got an OLDER team with shady defense and a thin rotation. I think you would have to say they're the favorites. But there's 4 or 5 other teams out there that can beat them...
