QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Feb 6, 2008 -> 02:33 PM) I didn't necessarily dislike her before this election cycle but the more I see and hear from Hillary and her campaign the more I cannot tolerate the thought of her being in the White House. These are the words and thoughts that pop into my mind when I think of the Clinton campaign: Not necessarily a downside. She'll be ruthless w/ the GOP in Washington too. While Obama tries to nice them to death, she'd actually get things done who isn't? I'd rather have that than the 'off the cuff' presidency of Bush. How bout we actually WEIGH our options and make the best decision for once? true, but see Ruthless. We need someone who will fight the republicans. Their idea of a compromise is them getting their way. She realizes this. I'm gonna be honest and say i'm not really sure what's implied by this. Pardon my ignorance. I really wanna win in Nov. If the GOP nom is McCain it'll be a hard battle and I really don't care what it takes (within reason) to beat him If you think we don't ALREADY live in one you're sadly mistaken. Rather have that than McCain abolishing Roe v. Wade. That's not the kind of change I'm looking for. This is the one thing I really dislike about her - but to think Obama wouldn't have lobbyists in his White House is pure fantasy. He said he'd sit at the table with them and negotiate. See how far that gets you...

QUOTE(StrangeSox @ Feb 6, 2008 -> 05:40 AM) He would have picked up a handful of delegates, maybe get to 30 total, and then drop out? lol cept he would've had a lot of support in MO, TN, OK, AK, AL, GA as well. obviously he wouldn't have gotten a lot. but in any case it's pointless. oh well.

QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Feb 6, 2008 -> 12:28 AM) Note that he was replying to the post about the storms. I think he was making a bad joke. my really wasn't ACTUALLY a question it was more of a "are you kidding me?" just thought it was a tad tasteless. but in any case... interesting night - and i dont think it REALLY changes a damn thing in the end. lol

QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Feb 6, 2008 -> 12:08 AM) Voted for Hillary. really?
-
QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Feb 5, 2008 -> 11:59 PM) Yeah, but look at the sheer numbers that are turning out. Anyone voting DEM right now will likely vote DEM come the actual election. I think we will have a more unified party than most and anyone backing Obama or Hillary will vote for the other one when all is said and done. yeah i know - i just think we need to keep from getting overly optimistic...
-
which Dem states do NOT have the 15% rule? cuz i feel like i heard somewhere that some don't have that.
-
looking at the county breakdowns Edwards has a LOT of support in CA. Strange. Makes you wonder what would've happened had he stayed in.... *sigh*
-
ya know what, this is gonna help McCain as well - while the republicans will have their nominee and will be "unified" the dems will be squabbling late into the summer...... if you couple that with a Huck VP... not looking good.

QUOTE(Athomeboy_2000 @ Feb 5, 2008 -> 11:46 PM) Chuck Todds breakdown (NM and CA not included)... Obama - 659 Clinton - 623 If Hillary wins BIG in CA.... Obama - 841 Clinton - 837 So, OBAMA wins tonight! wow. that's just absurd. i mean honestly... if you just step back and look at those numbers that is just plain insanity. talk about a divided party...
-
McCain/Huckabee ticket scares the s*** out of me... that thing could really win in Nov.
-
tonight's a win for obama, any way you slice it. he did much better than expected and that's the best he could have hoped for. it's gonna be tougher for Hillary moving forward....
-
yep, Obama wins MO. crazy... hopefully she can have a solid win in CA though it's prolly not likely
-
QUOTE(Athomeboy_2000 @ Feb 5, 2008 -> 11:02 PM) Obama just jumped ahead in MO!!! f***. i do nothing but support losers. haha. maybe i should support McCain in the national....
-

-
QUOTE(Athomeboy_2000 @ Feb 5, 2008 -> 10:48 PM) Looks like Hillary is going to take MO on the skin of her teeth. works for me

QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Feb 5, 2008 -> 10:46 PM) The American public doesn't vote on issues. They vote on fear, and the candidate they'd rather have over to dinner. so true.
-
QUOTE(Rex Kicka** @ Feb 5, 2008 -> 10:45 PM) It's a results night speech. That's not your audience. Clinton did issues AND rhetoric. that's why i'm with her now.
-
... rhetoric rhetoric rhetoric WHY NO ISSUES? oh yeah cuz your positions really ain't that hot.
-
i think Obama's been the surprise tonight.

QUOTE(Athomeboy_2000 @ Feb 5, 2008 -> 09:59 PM) This is the breakdown so far... Obama: UT (called by MSNBC), KS, ND, CO, ID, AL, DE, MN, CT, IL, GA Clinton: NJ, MA, NY, TN, AR, MO, OK, AZ (trending HRC) Up for grabs (no results so far): NM, CA, AK i don't think you can call UT yet...

DAMN she's ripping from Edwards' play book. "the cause of my life" Well, at least John's still in the race at some level.
