QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 2, 2014 -> 02:53 PM) Typical. Nobody cares if they offend people over religious issues. Thanks for the confirmation. Exactly. Religious freedoms mean that people have the right to believe or not believe. I dont force my beliefs on believers, why should they get to force their beliefs on me? That seems fair.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jul 2, 2014 -> 02:04 PM) Completely inaccurate. Really so if a Dr prescribes me 1 of the 4 birth control that hobby lobby objects to, hobby lobby has to pay for it? Its all fun and games when your religion is the one that is preferred. (edit) No its alarming that the govt would give a thumbs up to any religion.
-
Look Balta, its okay for someone to stop you from getting medical treatment because their religion says its bad. I am sure that no one in this thread would have a problem if a company owned by Jehova's Witnesses refused to pay for any procedure that involved blood transfusions. Completely reasonable.
-
The real issue is that it is the govt picking and choosing what religions to protect. Which should be a major concern to everyone.

In retrospect Green maybe should have subbed earlier instead of Wondo. He is young and raw but he may be the most technical player on the ball the US have. At that point I think the US was still playing for pks if necessary.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jul 1, 2014 -> 05:34 PM) Ya where was that s*** all game? Belgium was getting great looks on the counter, so the US couldnt play as reckless.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 1, 2014 -> 05:31 PM) For some reason I just read the story and thought about the backlash that would happen if the races were reversed. This has to be the most pompous resignation line ever: "“I understand why I hurt people's feelings, but I didn't become president to make sure rich white guys had more representation on campus,” Peterson told BuzzFeed, which reported the story on Monday. “Let’s be honest. They're not the ones that feel uncomfortable here.” Peterson graduated from Lawrenceville, a private school near princeton, N.J., in June. You are entirely just speculating. Faux rage faux rage.

Well ultimately the US just still needs to be better skilled on the ball. They almost never even attempt to kick a sideline to sideline pass and they just were to hesitant trying to attack off the dribble until the end. Good effort, could have maybe won, but still have a lot to practice.

At some point green is going to go itno the box and dive for a pk

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jul 1, 2014 -> 05:14 PM) Julian Green lolololol Not so funny now

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jul 1, 2014 -> 05:03 PM) Yeah that goal wasn't his fault though. Where is Altidore? Its not his fault per se because ultimately its the defender who fell needing to either take down the other guy or not make that challenge. The problem is the US was in a great position on offense and Bradley just once again did nothing productive.
-
Bradley doesnt deserve to be taking that set piece. He should hvae just kicked it to Beasley. Total joke how he lost the ball and lead to another counter.
-
Have to at least get that chance on goal. When the US isnt just being idiotic they actually have chances. Unfortunately only a few players have enough confidence to dribble and attack the defense. Pretty shocking how much more confident Yedlin looks than half the team.
-
I wish once the US would do a short corner.
-
if something is going to happen it seems like Yedlin will be involved.
-
They are playing terrible and completely impatient. As soon as a belgium guy is within 5 yards they are passing it into bad areas. They need to take the space they are being given, because its clear belgium wants to counter. So the US is just playing right into it.

QUOTE (Jake @ Jul 1, 2014 -> 03:41 PM) So since it is not the individual owners keeping something from employees, but instead the company doing so...am I allowed to start a company and bestow upon that corporation religious beliefs that, rather than reflecting my own, could earn me the most profitable exemptions? No, only specific religions will get this protection. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 1, 2014 -> 04:01 PM) Government is getting bigger and bigger (obviously) and when one more liberal judge hits the Supreme Court, wow. Both sides like big govt. Unless all of a sudden conservatives arent trying to use the govt to enforce morality.
-
Yeah you cant bring Altidore in until much later due to the 1 sub already being burned. Im not sure what Beckerman will do, the problem is that the US isnt taking advantage of Belgium giving them space on the ball, and even worse players like Bradley are not making good passes. The 2 decent passes he had led to US scoring chances, just have to play smarter.
-
in a game this wide open Yedlin isnt the worst, hes got a lot of speed so 1 mistake by Belgium could lead to an opening.
-
USA being way too impatient and giving up possession. If Belgium gives you space to walk up, no need to make a low percentage over the top pass.
-
So I guess they will let Melo play with a headband? lol
-
Brazil is giving up a lot of chances at the end.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jun 26, 2014 -> 10:30 PM) You do realize every team will have misses? Bulls have consistently hit at a much higher percentage then the rest of the league. It isn't even close. Butler / Taj / Asik / Nik / Sefolosha / Deng / Gordon / Hinrich / Rose / Noah / etc Note: Tyrus Thomas was the one massive debacle and really the only debacle under this admin. Jay Williams I won't blame anyone on since he would have been very good but I also don't remember if that was Paxson or not (think it was). Also, I am not writing Snell off yet. Ive watched every NBA draft for the last 20 years, everyone has misses, which is exactly why when you have 2 first round picks in a deep draft, you take them both so that you have a better chance of hitting. Maybe McDermott is the best thing ever, yesterday before the Bulls selected him I said that he could do well on the right team. I think that overall its a waste of picks, I think McDermott wasnt worth the price and I think the Bulls would have been better suited taking 2 players. But that is always my belief. I dont like trading up unless its for a guy that just blows you away. McDermott doesnt blow me a way. Its not that I hate him as a player, I just hate the cost of getting him.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jun 26, 2014 -> 10:01 PM) Despite all the b****ing on this board, this front office has proven the fact that it has historically been exceptional at drafting. Ill be the one to say it, but the Bulls have not been exceptional. The last 2 drafts they got Snell and Teague respectively. Sure they got Butler, but that was already back in 2011. In 2010 they got James Johnson and Taj Gibson (50% hit rate) and Im pretty sure if you pull up the draft thread youll see me saying things about Gibson being a steal. I wont even talk about the abortions before Noah. You guys have way more faith in a franchise that has been to the EC Finals 1 time since 1998. Color me skeptical. (edit) Sure if the Bulls get Melo this all changes, but I remember when the Bulls were getting T-Mac, Kobe and every other FA since 1998.

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jun 26, 2014 -> 09:49 PM) Anderson ends up being steal of the draft. Sometimes reminds me of a poor mans Penny Hardaway, Spurs should find a lot of ways to use him.
