  1. Why is Ryan Evans on court, Bo Ryan what are you doing.
  2. I would coach Indiana differently. Starting with Olidapo on Wisconsin point. Its criminal to have him wasting out there on Bruiser, but hey whatever I dont need to help opponents.
  3. Need to pass that to Zeller, Olidapo took on 3 guys
  4. I would coach Indiana completely differently, but Im not going to argue with Tom Crean's success against Wisconsin.
  5. Marshall killing Wisconsin just cant even be on the court.
  6. Crean get off the court, standing in front of the ref is nonsense.
  7. Dont worry hes not the Big 10 6th man of the year.
  8. Bo Ryan just giving the game away when he allows George Marshall to pound the rock dribbling. Just cant let that happen.
  9. They are getting a switch with Berg on Olidapo and Bruiser on Zeller, but never taking advantage. They just repick it allowing Wisconsin to switch. Kind of amazing.
  10. You cant speed up a game as long as it stays close against Wisconsin. They do not crash the boards and immediately get back on defense. The best way to try is to use full court press against them on offense, get a lead and then get them to panic. But as long as Wisconsin is close you will almost never see a game hit 80 in regulation, it just doesnt happen.
  11. QUOTE (Rex Hudler @ Mar 16, 2013 -> 01:44 PM) You push the pace on missed shots. If you don't try and get Wisconsin to do what they normally don't, you play right into their hands. I don't think they can shoot this well in the 2nd half. If they do, they'll win. If not, IU will pull away and win by 7. A lot of those shots were layups and easy baskets due to Indiana breakdowns. They didnt even start shooting 3s until the latter half. And I disagree. The teams who give Wisconsin the biggest problems are the teams who can slow it down and force Wisconsin to grind out wins. They lost to Virginia (Tony Bennett), they lost to MSU x2 (I think they havent beaten them in 5 tries), lost to Purdue... The only teams who ran on Wisconsin were Florida/Marquette and that was early in the year when Wisconsin wasnt playing well.
  12. QUOTE (Rex Hudler @ Mar 16, 2013 -> 01:39 PM) The idea is to push the pace and get points off the fast break or secondary break. If its not there, to pull the ball back and set up. Sometimes when you are trying to push the pace and the other team is scoring, you tend to play too fast and force shots. It's not the game plan, its frustration they aren't getting enough stops on the defensive end. But youre just not going to push pace against Wisconsin. It happens maybe 1-2 times a season? It just is a game plan based on planning for the best case scenario.
  13. When Gottlieb and I are in agreement it must be really obvious haha
  14. I just am not sure what the Indiana game plan is here. On the offensive end they have a lot of good match ups, yet they seem more concerned about frantically pushing pace than just settling in and taking advantage.
  15. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 16, 2013 -> 01:18 PM) And they immediately take the lead after you write this post. Not my fault Tom Crean doesnt go after the badgers with Zeller. All I can say is thanks.
  16. Well now Wisconsin just has to keep it under 10 because Berg has to sit the rest of the half with 2 fouls.
  17. Pretty sure Watford pushed Evans in the back
  18. Terrible line up for Wisconsin not sure what Bo Ryan is doing.
  19. Indiana is a 6 point favorite and I definitely agree that its an upset if Wisconsin wins. The problem for Indiana (like other running teams) is that as much as they want to run it falls into trap that Wisconsin is setting. Quick missed shots then lead to that team playing more defense, its the equivalent of time of possession in football. Just can wear a team down. The key to beating Wisconsin is on the defensive end. Wisconsin can be rattled, Crean needs to put Olidapo on a real offensive threat not on Brusier like last game.
  20. QUOTE (Rex Hudler @ Mar 16, 2013 -> 11:03 AM) Badger, I'd like your thoughts on Wisky's keys to victory today. Aside from the obvious control the tempo and make shots! Who's been hot, who hasn't been? Who might surprise? Where might the Badgers have problems? Any words of wisdom from the Cheese State? If you are a Wisconsin fan the keys to the game are pretty simple. 1) Contain Zeller. No easy run outs, make him stay planted under the basket on the defensive end and make him bang against Kaminsky/Berg every possession. 2) Offensive flow. Wisconsin needs to work inside/out. They can not just sit around the arc and jack 3 pointers. That results in giving Indiana easy defensive possessions (where they dont have to work) and also leads to fast breaks (long 3s= long rebounds.) 3) Ryan Evans. Wisconsin cant survive a 1-10 game. He needs to be efficient. 4) Brust/Dekker someone needs to shoot 3s The reality is there is only 1 key, keep the game close whatever it takes. Wisconsin has won something stupid like 54 out of 55 games when winning with less than 5 minutes. In a close game at the end I think Wisconsin has the advantage. The problem is if Indiana gets up 10+ Wisconsin could panic and just play dumb
  21. Since you dont watch South Park, Old Fashioned= hand job.
  22. Yeah Steve gave Reggie an old fashioned last night in return for Rose coming back on Monday.
