QUOTE (JPN366 @ Sep 5, 2012 -> 01:19 PM) My NFL week 1 preview for Flapship.com... NFL Week 1 Preview Warning May contain controversial picks and language.

QUOTE (Reddy @ Sep 5, 2012 -> 12:57 PM) dude i'm completely with you. COMPLETELY. but voting for Romney because you think he'll do any more for you than Obama just isn't realistic. I'm building a business right now - i spend 5-10 hours a week doing it, and i'm already profitable after 4 months. by the end of the year i plan to be making an extra grand/month on top of my full time job, and by a year in the business i plan to quit my full time job. It's doable, you just need ambition and ingenuity. What you don't need is money. Congrats, but come on now, it sounds like Flipped is doing what he can. And your post makes you sound like a Republican. Why should we give benefits to anyone, why cant they just go out and make their own money? I made my own money, why should they get govt support? QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 5, 2012 -> 01:05 PM) Have your wife speak about it, that's the way to the voters' hearts. Id want stand up comedy. Convention speeches are so boring and If I have to actually pretend to listen, I want something that is worthwhile. "Soxbadger has been a rock in my life ever since we met. He tied a rope around my leg and hes been dragging me down ever since." "A lot of people say that you shouldnt out kick your coverage, Id say they are idiots, where would my husband be with out me." Now that is a convention I can watch. I guess I want more of a roast. And Im not married so these are being written for my hypothetical wife who will have the pleasure of dealing with my nonsense every day. What a sweet lady she will be.

QUOTE (Jake @ Sep 5, 2012 -> 10:27 AM) I would vote Soxbadger, but I'm a diehard SoxIllini supporter What if I told you I was for them, before I was against them?

Unfortunately you are in a profession where some people think downsizing is a good thing
-
Why is his position ridiculous? He is voting for the person who will help him the most, that makes sense. Its no different than a school teacher voting for a candidate who is pro-teacher unions and want teachers to get raises. Or are they also ridiculous?

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Sep 5, 2012 -> 12:10 PM) I'm not co-mingling anything. We've created an acceptable use of guns in the home to protect yourself. I'm saying extend that to the public arena under the same justification. The "innocent" argument doesn't fly either unless you think everyone lives alone. No they live in a house with people who are related to them or their friends who therefore understand the risk of being in a house with firearms. Conversely, I, a random human on the street, have no idea who has a gun and would prefer that I was not shot by someone trying to "protect" themselves. There are many things that can be done in your own home or on your property that would be considered illegal in public. Why cant I have sex with girls on the street? Why cant I pee on the street? Why cant I drink an open container on the street? Why cant I drive my all terrain vehicle on the high way? We already differentiate public/private for a ton of nonsense. Yet you are arguing we shouldnt differentiate when its something that can actually kill people? I actually can be persuaded, but it would require the other side agreeing that there should be basically no laws. Which generally gun rights activists arent in favor of. At least Im consistent.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Sep 5, 2012 -> 11:50 AM) Which is just a silly distinction IMO. If we think it's ok to protect your property or person with deadly force, whether you do it on your own property or in a public place shouldn't matter. That was the intent of the SYG law and of course some attorneys and judges are testing the limits of it's application. Its not a silly distinction at all. First of all you are co-mingling arguments. This isnt about whether you have the right to use deadly force in public (you do), its about whether you have the right to use a gun in public. Those are 2 very different things. If someone attacks you, you can kill them with your fists in public, you can take a brick and bash in their skull, you can curb stomp them, you can use a bat. So its not about protecting yourself with deadly force, its about the use of guns. And the reason guns are different is because guns pose a threat to other innocent people. So while you may protect yourself and shoot the bad guy, you could also shoot and kill an innocent civilian. So (imo) when we weigh the risk versus reward of having guns in public, the risk outweighs the reward.

Im pretty sure most reasonable people think that the horse is already out of the barn when it comes to having weapons in your house. The question is about having guns in public, when those guns present a danger to innocent citizens.

Hot b****es Next question.

How come my reaction to Michelle's speech wasnt quoted? Greg is just part of the liberal media bias because no one wants to report my score of 4 out 10. And almost all speeches are a waste of time. Except when I give them, then you should all pay attention because Im going to tell you how it really is and why if only we were a fraction of as good as the greatest generation we could not only fix this mess but also send the first cloned human to another galaxy. Who is coming with me!

Immigration is kind of a stupid issue as the party of small govt who proclaims their love of capitalism cant see the hypocrisy of a large govt program that restricts the supply of labor. But that issue is maybe 2 elections in the future.

My impression of the picture posted by Mr. Genius and his wikipedia article (Im extremely informed as you can tell), was that he didnt do enough drugs for me to trust him. And that he was only 38, and then I thought about where I would be when I was 38 and why wasnt I a Mayor of a city. And then I remembered that I did enough drugs for me to trust me, so that answered my own question.

Jake, I didnt drink at all and no cocaine. I just think these speeches/conventions are hilarious. I dont really comment on the Republicans because it sounds like sour grapes and seems bad taste.
-
Well Im done with mocking this nonsense for tonight. Ill give the 5-10 minutes I watched a solid 4 out of 10. Areas for improvement: 1) Call me the greatest generation. As a child I overcame communism, I have overcome 9/11, Iraq War, Afghan War, banning of bath salts, break up of guns n roses and this economic fiasco. Dont wait until Im 70 and I dont care anymore, say it now. Greatest generation, woooooooooo! 2) Quit using the word sacrifice, no one likes the word sacrifice. Im also including difficult decisions as a banned word. Just say "We will make the right decisions and endure."

QUOTE (mr_genius @ Sep 4, 2012 -> 10:36 PM) i don't even think that is possible. and you think he'll get 0 Pinocchio's. hahaha. Depends on how you define parents. TV was my parent. It taught me, nurtured me, provided me warmth, put me to bed at night, provided me role models, taught me how to kiss, taught me how to shave, taught me how to dance, tie a tie. Oh sweet sweet tv.
-
QUOTE (mr_genius @ Sep 4, 2012 -> 10:29 PM) i wonder how many Pinocchio's he'll get from fact-check. probably 4 Probably 0, just read about him and the only type of lie he would make is going to be basically unprovable. Ryan's problem is hes a dork and dorks arent good at lying because they were always snitching. Damn I just looked that up and GQ already called him a dork and didnt trust him because they dont believe he smoked weed. None of my material is original anymore. This is bulls***.

Talking about a text where a 15 year old said shes excited to vote, voter fraud being proven on TV, no one is watching.
-
No white commentators on BET. Im calling the race card. And how controversial would WET be. haha
-
God damn can anyone stop making love to the "Greatest Generation"? Sorry my generation didnt let Hitler come to power so I could overcome great evil.
-
Obama checks on his kids to make sure they are breathing, I do that with my cats, Im obama. 4 more years, 4 more years. I really wish she would have held up 4 fingers like Hunger Games (I know its only 3) but that would have been a hilarious move to silence the crowd. We are playing a long game, you wont see the results for 100 years, but I promise they are going to be great, your grand children will tell you about them in their prayers. USA GOD #1

Okay so the DNC is on BET. Im betting the RNC was not.

QUOTE (mr_genius @ Sep 4, 2012 -> 09:30 PM) is Biden giving a speech? same result basically I want Biden without a teleprompter. Thats when the magic happens.
-
QUOTE (mr_genius @ Sep 4, 2012 -> 09:21 PM) good policy to have. i'm watching the Dem convention right now, total snooze fest. I wish they had to drink before giving speeches. LETS ME TELL YOUS WHATS WRONG WITH THIS COUNTRY! Its not even hard anymore, they get a teleprompter. Its ridiculous.

Its not debate club, its an election. Catchy phrases win, not hard facts. And my phrase is damn catchy.

I dont watch conventions or award shows. We all know that if we could suck our own dicks, we wouldnt leave the house.
