I dont think the court would strike down Unions, and nothing in the brief suggests that either. Whether its opt-in or opt-out, doesnt there necessarily have to be a union for it to matter?

Im trying not to Zoom the thunder.

KW whining about (OK bringing up) attendance again
Soxbadger replied to chisoxfan09's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I really dont believe that I am rich. That being said you can go on the internet and find codes to every single Sox game. My friends and I got lower deck tickets for $30 on a Saturday. How many people spend $30 at a bar, or even more, or $30 on dinner etc. Now sure, there are some people who just cant afford to attend. But those people cant afford to attend if the Sox win 162 games or the Sox win 0 games. The premise of most peoples argument is that if the Sox won more, or if they had a better team or if they had a younger core, more people would come. -
KW whining about (OK bringing up) attendance again

Some fans love their team and show up no matter what, some fans need to be won over. A lot of Sox fans fall into the latter category. There is nothing wrong with that. -
Jessica is super hot. Ill give the storyline some time to develop, still enjoy most of the characters.

Hakeem also only won a title in the years that Jordan didnt play. Hakeem also never won a NCAA title, even though he was on the Phi Slamma Jamma team. There are maybe 5-10 players who have a legitimate claim to being the best ever.

Yeah I was confusing multiple counts (substantially related) with 2 sovereign entities. Im not a criminal lawyer so I should have researched it first.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 20, 2012 -> 12:11 PM) Workaholics makes me lawlz. Got last nights on the DVR. I loved the cheating on the drug dealer episode, although I still think season 1, pedophile drug dealer was the best.

Its complicated. Something across state lines should almost always be federal jurisdiction. But there is a possibility that there was some state law "illegal transportation of a minor" that could potentially bar the federal claim. Without seeing a federal complaint, its impossible to guess whether double jeopardy would be a problem. I also wouldnt be so sure that the federal govt will be the knight in shining armor. 2nd Mile had a lot of rich/famous people, the govt doesnt always want to go down that rabbit hole. Or at least not during an election year.

Double jeopardy gets really tricky in these cases. I think Sandusky gets convicted of something in this trial.

Jenks, I always just get a random online one and the firm reimburses me. My biggest problem is procrastination, I had to bang out 7 hours yesterday. And I agree with that completely, but it would be sweet to get paid to give CLE classes.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 19, 2012 -> 11:16 PM) Christ in a dump truck. Really? You the person who was here about the Spoelstra no call on Westbrook's shot, now is all of a sudden the "Ive never said a word about the refs guy" Dear Mr Kettle, Id like to introduce you to Mr. Pott

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 19, 2012 -> 11:11 PM) Not team in NBA history has come back from down 3-1 since the 2-3-2 format was implemented. It's over. The most talented player in NBA history is getting his first championship. At the same age Jordan did, by the way. Who are you trying to convince of Lebron's greatness? Perhaps you dont remember, but when Lebron was a free agent I said Lebron was the best player on the planet and the reason I didnt want him to go to Miami was that he was good enough to win without Wade. And that going to Miami would do nothing but raise unnecessary nonsensical questions about Lebrons ability. And before Boston came back against the Yankees, no team had done that either. Eventually it will happen, maybe not this series, but it will.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 19, 2012 -> 11:08 PM) In the exact post I quoted you complained about Game 2. You can't lawyer your way out of this one, Brian! Right you mentioned reffing and I responded that its game 2 people likely have an issue with, not game 3 or game 4. Responding to a post is not complaining. Look at the post: I think most people are just disappointed with game 2 and how it was reffed as it was a home game for OKC, the last 2 games were @ Miami, you expect the benefit to be given to them. Notice how I dont even give my opinion. I just say "I think most people are", its merely stating what my opinion on the subject is. In comparison complaining would be: The refs stole this series, if it wasnt for the bulls*** no calls in game 2 the thunder would be winning. See difference. Notice how I also have said that this series isnt over and that OKC can still win, which is the exact opposite of fixating or blaming the refs.

CLE credits blow.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 19, 2012 -> 10:59 PM) Then most people need to get over it. They had a tie game tonight and James left the game... Mostly. They played stupid. They were also up 33-16 and went into halftime only up three. Get over the refs. This is on the Thunder. Where am I not over the refs? Maybe it was my comment that OKC was getting some calls? If you think the reffing in this series has been good, thats your call. I personally think its been terrible for both sides.
-
Depth really doesnst matter that much in the finals, OKC just has people like Fischer (who cares how to spell it) making dumb plays. Im not sure this series is over though. All of the breaks seem to be going Miami's way (loose balls, etc), maybe it will even out.

-
Terrible defense by OKC on that play, you gotta make the Heat beat you with jumpshots.
-
Its impossible to watch this series and not think the reffing is terrible. On that durant play, it was either a travel or a foul, there is no way that its nothing.
-
Lebron is hurting pretty bad but hes tough as hell.
-
He should be thankful that I tried to spell his name and didnt just refer to him as the old man on the court.
-
really Zoom your going to jinx the thunder like that? I hate Fischer.
-
Yeah Westbrook seemingly cant tell if hes on or off, so he just keeps shooting.
