I reffed when I was younger, but unlike you I couldnt stop myself from make up calls and getting emotionally involved. Thus I decided Im not a good ref.

Yeah replays have been screwing up that "dont call a foul give it to the team" play. On replay its so clear that its out on 1 team, but you cant call the foul off replay, so its starting to become a mess.

Well that was just a really terrible call.

Rex, Thats fine, obviously Im someone who is a conspiracy theorist. It could be subconscious and they dont even recognize it, but as the viewer it was hard to ignore. For a good amount of time, the refs called nothing on Montana. Then when the game was really out of reach, they started to call nit pick fouls. The only explanation I have is that they wanted to even up the box score (ultimately it ended 16-15 in fouls). Now maybe the explanation is that after 36 minutes they decided they wanted to change how they were calling it. And its not just this game, I feel this about many basketball games, and not ones where I have any attachment too.

And this is just my opinion obviously, I think basketball calls are the most subjective and to many games do I feel the refs get to involved. Why else would the refs start calling touch fouls on Montana when there is 4 minutes left in the game?

So in the same post you say that refs dont care about the score, you say that youd swallow the whistle in a blow out, which is exactly what I accused the refs of doing. Do you see the irony in that?

Rex, Did you watch the game? During the 2nd half, the refs started calling a ton of fouls when Wisconsin got up 15+ (and stopped calling anything against Montana) to try and keep it interesting. Then when the refs knew the game was over, they called a bunch of touch fouls on Montana to even up the boxscore. Its pretty much par for the course in any basketball game. Refs dont want a blow out.

Haha Im never going to complain about calls when you win by 20+, but it was pretty clear Wisconsin was going to cruise so the refs swallowed the whistles for a while to bring it back to 10 or so. Wisconsin is just a tough match up for a smaller school.

Im not asking Brandon Marshall to be a great dad, Im asking Brandon Marshall to catch a ball. That being said, I generally dont care about peoples personal stuff as long as they show up when it counts.

Refs are just trying to keep this Wisconsin- Montana game close.

Wade was unstoppable in the 4th quarter. Lebron would have been foolish to try and demand to take the ball over. That is not good basketball, that is stupid hero ball. Im never going to get down on a player who lets the hot hand shoot and unselfishly makes a better basketball decision. If you walk away from that game hating on Lebron or Wade, you just dont like them.

Are you saying that Lebron should have been taking shots from Wade who missed only 2 times the entire quarter? Because if you watched the game Wade wasnt giving the ball to anyone, and he wasnt missing either.

Yeah Lebron sure did nothing when he was hitting threes and bringing the Heat back from the dead.

I dont think Im going to be leaving this game questioning Lebron's play. Wade was on fire in the 4th and basically playing hero ball by himself.

This may be way out there, but Im wondering if Gingrich made a deal with Romney to stay in and Romney will make him VP. Otherwise this strategy is just nuts, because Santorum and Gingrich are killing each other. As for the money, the rich give to both Republican and Democrats. If you support both sides, you cant lose, that really is where the smart money is.

For all the Mizzou fans who were upset with their number 2 seed: http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2012/03...ch-madness.html The numbers match what I originally thought, while Mizzou was given the 2 seed, they actually have a better draw than MSU the 1 seed. The reason is that Memphis is the strongest 8 seed (30% chance of making the sweet 16) as compared to Florida 23%.

Why is Winston an upgrade over Carimi? Winston is a good run blocking RT, but Carimi should be better already. Now I can see getting Winston for RT and moving Carimi to LT.

I think any seed 1-5 could make the final four from this bracket.
