  1. Your ladyfriend let you out of the cage? (I kid I kid, good to see you back)
  2. Yeah the chart is showing what I was explaining, 3's and dunks are the most efficient.
  3. Its not entirely that, its also risk reward. Since the invent of the 3 point line, the jump shot has dramatically changed. Whereas previously the closer to the basket was always better, now you have a situation where its often smarter to step 3-4 feet back to shoot a 3, as opposed to a long 2.
  4. Greatness is subjective, people can define it however they want.
  5. So id never heard of this, ready the thread, then there was an advertisement from Purdue University about Lean. Big brother!
  6. I honestly am not sure Kareem is better than Shaq. Kareem has the longevity stats, but Shaq has the better per and had the highest per in a single season between them. I never really saw Kareem play and some of his early years they didnt keep all of the stats.
  7. Yeah but 1 person wont overcome the rest that all have MJ first. And based on the age of the board Id think youd be more likely to see someone like Shaq over MJ.
  8. Where did I say that at all? There is a large difference between having to get a permit to protest and being allowed to protest anyplace, anytime.
  9. Why should you need permission from the govt to speak your mind?
  10. You can get that type of insight on Soxtalk
  11. Yeah I dont love Jackson for whatever reason. I do like Randy Moss.
  12. I think you missed the point of my post. Romney is winning in areas that would be generally considered Democratic, in my opinion, not a great strategy for a general election.
  13. http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/elections/ In Ohio Romney is winning in the more urban areas.
  14. The media doesnt matter, delegate counts matter. This type of mistake is how you lose an election. Imagine how different today would have felt if Romney was slipping in VA to Santorum, etc. Instead, Romney gets free delegates. Being a good candidate doesnt matter, being electable doesnt matter, delegate counts matter. For the price of a 30 second commercial, you could have a team of people making sure you are on every ballot. Think about how stupid that is.
  15. What do you mean no way to beat Romney in VA? Paul is getting 40% of the vote, you dont think Santorum may have gotten 1 district? According to Wiki, this is how the VA delegates work: The three super delegates are unbound. 33 delegates are awarded on a winner-take-all basis by congressional district. The other 13 are awarded to the candidate who wins a majority statewide, or allocated proportionally if no one gets majority. [3] So 33 were by congressional district, I think Santorum may have been able to win a few of those.
  16. Chisoxfn, Goodell works for the owners, coaches are different than players (no connection to the NFLPA) so this would be killing one of his own. Its a difficult situation due to it involvement multiple teams etc, so my guess is that the penalties are mainly suspensions and draft picks. I definitely think if players did it without support of a guy like Payton that theyd be facing a banishment.
  17. Gingrich and Santorum gotta be kicking themselves over the Virginia debacle.
  18. I dont really agree with those laws. I dont like govt restrictions. In my opinion the less govt the better.
  19. Kap, Just so Im clear. I dont think that the situation in Syria is so different that we should be doing nothing. The problem is that I dont believe it will be quick and easy like Libya. The reason this matters is because the US will end up tearing itself apart over this. In my opinion you need something around 75%+ domestic support to really start a war. The reason being that the longer the war goes on (especially on foreign soil) the more support starts to wane. I just dont believe there are enough Americans to support this. But if it was put to a vote, Id vote for intervention (not sure how much would depend on the strategy and collateral damage etc).
  20. I guess its jaywalking? That type of crime is not one I believe people should lose their right to assemble over (like littering etc.)
  21. I dont see how that relates to business owners. The City of Chicago Police Department is part of a Municipality and I believe their salaries are paid for by taxes, etc. Quite different than the business owner who was going to experience vandalism.
  22. You are kind of moving the goal posts here, and (imo) its kind of proving my point. Protesters shut down LSD, is that not peaceable protest? Wasnt the argument that the G8 is different because its going to bring in professional troublemakers? Dealing with protests is not easy, but our country has a strong tradition of standing up for that right. I work in Chicago, the protests would impact my life, yet I still believe they have the right to protest.
  23. Yeah, everything Ive heard is Indy is a great event site. The problem is that its considerably farther for a Wisconsin fan to drive to Indiana, than say Chicago or Milwaukee, etc. I personally would like a rotation where the major Big 10 cities get the tournament (Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Detroit, etc) that way most teams will have a year where their crowd is close (Nebraska and Iowa probably lose out, but they dont have a big city.) Balta, I think the Big10 should do more to take advantage of all cities it has.
  24. Business getting vandalized. Thats a crime right? So if, a protester did that, they could be arrested and sent to jail, correct? They could be forced to pay restitution, correct? They could be sued in civil court for the damage, correct? And they may even have insurance to protect them from damage, correct? So I count 3 ways that the business owner can be made whole if a crime is committed (same rules that apply to any business at any time). To me it seems that businesses have been able to operate for the last 200+ years in the US, only having the protections described above. And at the end of the day, freedom > money. I can put a price on your damages, hard to put a price on your inability to make your opinion heard.
