  1. I doubt you watched Grossman play more than 1 game in College, so please just stick to the NBA. Because your argument is lunacy, no one thought Grossman was going to be any good, thats why after his Sophomore year he was projected to be a top 10 pick and after his Junior year he was drafted in the first round. But yes, no one thought a player with a solid 1st round grade would be any good. Here is the SI rating from 2003: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/football/...ayers/7323.html Grade: 4.15 4.99 to 4.10 -- Quality Prospect -- Someone that consistently gives good performances. Occasional Pro-Bowl appearances. This is why Grossman is a bust. Lin can never be a bust, he wasnt drafted.
  2. lol This is hilarious, Rex Grossman is the complete opposite of Lin. Grossman is a BUST. Grossman being a back up is a complete failure. Lin being a back up is completely going through his ceiling. In 2006, no one was saying "OMG who is Rex Grossman, how did he do it?" In 2006 people were saying "Finally Grossman isnt injured and putting up the numbers people expected." How do you not see this?
  3. No the point still makes no sense. Rex Grossman in 2006 for the first 6 games had QB ratings of (98, 148, 64, 100, 101, 10), with an 11-7 td/int ratio, that isnt the BEST QB ON EARTH, that is borderline Pro Bowl. Rex Grossman after his Sophomore season was considered the BEST QB PROSPECT IN NCAA football. Lin was never even a well rated prospect. Many people would easily believe that Rex Grossman, the 3rd highest rated QB in SEC history, would be able to have a season where he didnt even have a 2-1 td to int ratio. Many people believed Rex Grossman would be a starting QB in the NFL. None of those things apply to Lin, not one. Grossman is more like Adam Morrison, etc., guys who were extremely well known in college, expected to do big things as a pro, who just fail. Lin is the exact opposite, a guy who did very little in college and now is exceeding all expectations as a Pro. Grossman will go down as a bust, Lin never will have that tag.
  4. Youre point is all over the place and makes no sense. Grossman was a highly rated and well known QB coming into the Pros, Lin was not.
  5. Wait what? Rex Grossman was a Heisman contender as a Sophmore (I believe he finished 2nd) and a 1st round draft pick after being destroyed by Zook. Grossman is in the following list of players: Six players have finished in the top three as freshmen or sophomores but never won a Heisman: Clint Castleberry, Marshall Faulk, Michael Vick, Rex Grossman, Larry Fitzgerald, and Adrian Peterson. Lin never came close to winning any major award in College Basketball. Stick to pro basketball, because Grossman was a supremely talented college player, you know the AP College Player of the Year as a Sophmore, 3rd highest rated passer in SEC history... LOL
  6. I dont know, Im on the fence. If I was hard pressed, Id probably say that I do not think Braun used steroids on the basis that he has never failed any other test and the only one he did fail had unusual circumstances. Its hard to guess when I dont know him and dont have any real evidence. Either way, its problematic. If Braun really was taking steroids, its impossible to believe that he just randomly did it, which puts the entire MLB drug testing policy at issue because Braun has passed numerous times. If he really wasnt taking steroids, then what the hell happened. Its just bad for MLB, no matter what you think (imo).
  7. Ptatc, Yeah im not a scientist so Ill probably use the words poorly. But my main point (and I think you agree), is that its up to MLB to create a system where this does not happen.
  8. Ptatc, I agree completely, the MLB is using nonsense procedure, and that is not even getting into the fact they are using pee tests which are generally considered the least reliable. (As an aside, I know people who have definitely beat pee tests for drugs, just using $50 over the counter products) The whole thing comes down to MLB and having better procedures. We are talking a billion dollar a year industry, they can spend some money on this.
  9. Because Braun didnt need to prove tampering. He only needed to prove that MLB screwed up and therefore the test was invalid. No reason to go beyond when its unnecessary. That's why its entirely speculation. If this was a case where not only did Braun have to show "improper protocol" but he also had to show that he was "likely to prevail on the merits" it would be an entirely different scenario. But its like the "fruit of the poisonous tree" in criminal law, once it was improperly handled, all of the evidence is no longer reliable. There are ways to prevent this, but MLB just does not have a policy to protect against errors. (IE MLB could require every stadium to have a facility to store specimens indefinitely, that way there would have been another sample that had not been improperly handled to test against.) Simply put, MLB's own laziness lack of control caused this problem. If they are mad, they should be mad at themselves.
  10. Blue cauliflower that biatch!
  11. I went through a similar experience, lived with a girl for about 3 years, in total was with her about 4-5. Anyway, as others have mentioned, I went to the gym, did other things, but none of that really worked for me because Im a compulsive thinker, so I over analyze everything and anything. For a while I wanted it to work out again, we werent even engaged or married and honestly I thought maybe some time apart could be helpful. That was like 5 years ago. Eventually it became apparent that no matter what could or would ever happen, I just would never be okay with it again. I could have probably worked something out, but it would have been for all the wrong reasons. The hardest part I found was trying to figure out who I was alone. I had changed so much for "our life" that I forgot what "my life" used to be like. Good luck.
  12. None of this matters. The procedure wasnt followed, the test results are moot. We can all speculate as to whether there was actual tampering or not, but it really doesnt matter. If you believe that he is guilty, I doubt any of this will change your mind.
  13. Im pretty sure if you watched every Wisconsin game you would say that Wisconsin was running more this year, especially after the 3 game losing streak.
  14. Odd game, refs were all over the place but I think they hurt both sides equally. If Gatens doesnt go insane Wisconsin probably wins, ah well, at least the rushed the court makes me feel a little better.
  15. You can also say that as Lin learns more and practices more he will also get better.
  16. Rumor is Ryan is telling recruits they are going to play more fast paced in the future, this year Wisconsin has tried to fast break considerably more.
  17. Mine is Final Fantasy XIII-2
  18. lol Now the refs are calling it ridiculous in Wisconsin's favor.
  19. Well if they call it this way Wisconsin will shoot 10+ fts and itll be close.
  20. The real difference is Gatens cant miss, but I think hell stay hot this whole game, just gotta stop everyone else.
  21. Well I assume at half Ryan gets told that hes been screwed at least a handful of times, so I expect that if it keeps going this way Ryan gets a technical in the 2nd. That being said, even with all the nonsense, Wisconsin can win this game if they play better.
  22. Im not sure you can project his ceiling because he already has broken through it a few times before. The fact is the guy has a tremendous work ethic. If he can improve his shooting dramatically, he can improve his ball handling. It was evident the first few games that Lin did not feel as comfortable on the left side of the floor (when hes facing the basket), eventually teams are going to see the tapes. But he can work on that, I think he can be a starter.
  23. I think this game I may have to actually start b****ing about refs, because this is just terrible.
