  1. Well theres Thornton, so I guess nothing is happening, this is just how Ozzie rolls.
  2. Guess everyone was thinking that Rios might as well try and steal 2b.
  3. Teahen has really peculiar walk up music, see a trend.
  4. I think Rios problem is crappy walk up music. I think that is an underrated part of what makes a good hitter.
  5. I wish AJ would just go up there and try and foul 10 pitches to help get Verlander out because I think the Sox can get 1 from the Tigers pen.
  6. I actually joked to myself that maybe we were trading Ozzie with Juan Pierre to the Marlins.
  7. Ozzie is probably throwing Ohman to show KW that he really needs a rh set up man and that if only he had that rh set up the Sox would be winning. Or he thinks that you want higher numbers for pitchers. But watch Ohman deliver hilariously.
  8. I wasnt referring to you, was referring to the post that he couldnt accept Peavy only going 5, or all the posts about Peavy being paid more and thus he should perform better. Im actually surprised Peavy can pitch this well based on the injury.
  9. YOU DONT QUESTION OZZIE/ Not only is he the manager, but hes a soothsaying time traveler who doesnt need to listen to Drs or professional advice. Hes the manager and has won a world series, if you dont have those credentials you cant question his wisdom.
  10. We have ridiculous standards. Peavy is coming off an one of a kind injury, where no one really knows how durable he is. He goes out and throws 5 innings and gives up 1 run. You may not accept it, but its going to take Peavy more time to get back from injury.
  11. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jul 26, 2011 -> 09:01 PM) Come on Konerko make up for Ozzie! And he did
  12. I was talking about pulling Peavy before the 6th started and saying he had the win. AND I ASKED FOR IT AND RECEIVED KONERKOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooo
  13. He already pitched through 5 innings, he was in the 6th. A quality start requires 6 innings, a win requires 5. At least I thought.
  14. Pick a fan to manage for all I care, Im not really sure anyone can bring less to the manager spot than Ozzie Guillen. Now the Sox just need to pray for another home run or something like zombie resurrection.
  15. Right so youre saying that because hes only played 1/2 a season in 2 years his body is messed up? You said the exact same thing just didnt use the word messed up, because quite frankly Im not a Dr so I dont know if its his back, his arm, or what is really bothering him. I just know he cant seem to get really deep in games. And I guarantee forcing him to pitch more (like Ozzie did tonight) is only going to further wear him down. Its just so bad.
  16. You get a win after 5 ip unless I really dont know stats anymore.
  17. Peavy did fine, he got through 5 innings with 1 run. Youd love every pitcher to go 7/8 but that isnt Peavy right now. Ozzie just needed to give the damn bullpen the ball.
  18. Everyone in the world knows Peavy is not able to go really deep. My guess is that hes still messed up from the injury and that by next year he should be able to go much deeper. But for right now you let him go 5, tell him great job, and let your pen get 12 outs. The sad thing is, even with the worst manager Ive ever witnessed, the Sox still have a chance to win the division.
  19. Its not even worth it. I honestly give every Sox player a pass because if Ozzie was my manager I dont think I could bring myself to try every day. When you see a guy just sit there and consistently not care about whats going on, mouth off like he matters, how can you care. If Ozzie had any dignity hed resign so that Reinsdorf could have a chance this year. But you know Ozzie, he probably thinks Reinsdorf owes him.
  20. Look we are just now getting some one warmed up. How can you continue to let Ozzie manage this team? Youre giving a child a 100million dollar team and watching him continually smash it into the wall.
  21. Peavy only threw 3 pitches right down the middle that at bat. Its a joke that we have a manager who refuses to help his team succeed. Its an absolute travesty.
  22. Plagued him his whole career except for those years where he was good. I get that people are unhappy with Rios production but his plat approach hasnt been terrible the past few weeks. He has been getting in hitters counts/swinging at fastballs, he just seems to have lost the ability to generate any power. And it really doesnt matter, the reason the Sox arent in first isnt Rios, Dunn or any player, its Ozzies managing.
