  1. Its just unbelievable that the Sox cant hit a fly ball out.
  2. This is more like it. You think stranding 3 runners with 1 out is impressive Rockies, just wait for the Sox.
  3. Damnit Rockies if you are going to strand more runners than the Sox, what do we have left?
  4. Its kind of like watching the Titanic after the first compartment is breached. Part of you is thinking, well they can come back from this. But the other part knows better.
  5. I actually think I prefer Thornton against Tulo, but maybe Ozzie thinks that the Rockies will think its Brian Wilson due to the beard.
  6. Screw you Rockies, lead off man getting on, bunt into out, pop up for out 2 and pop up for out 3 is our game, I refuse to watch this happen.
  7. If my life depended on Mark or Dunn getting a hit, Im not sure you dont take Mark at this point.
  8. Well at least this romantic comedy commercial is making me not want to murder anyone.
  9. Oh I know that offense is down, but 2 runs per game just wont cut it. Maybe in the deadball era, but most pitchers still dont sport a sub 2 era. if the Sox could just score 3 runs a game, I think they may be over 500 (not going to waste my time checking)
  10. Obviously the White Sox have several copyrights on how to strand a runner at 3b. One of them is definitely the: Pop up in the infield weak hit to the pitcher, Im pretty sure thats their go to move.
  11. Sox need to figure out some sort of way to magically score runs that doesnt involve hits. Im thinking swinging at passed balls for dropped 3rd strike. Or maybe just trying for walks and being beaned. Im just not sure that a team of AAA players would be consistently held under 3 runs so often. Its just unbelievable.
  12. Damn maybe the White Sox offense is rubbing off on the Rockies. No one out does the Sox leaving men on base, you hear that Rockies, this is our gimmick.
  13. Ozzie wouldnt have ph for Mark, just like he didnt for Gavin yesterday. Ozzie would rather leave a pitcher in to long than take him out to early.
  14. I think most people are done with the entire coaching staff, Walker being fired isnt enough (imo).
  15. Rios is in a really bad place after last night (imo). He needs something to go his way and get his mind off it. I know everyone hates him, but hes here for a while so Im just hoping that one day he wakes up realizes that hes still got a chance to be a solid everyday player and puts it all together.
  16. Its 2-1, they never cleared the guy off 1b on the double play. I was worried that I some how missed something for a second.
  17. How is Giambi more productive than Dunn. Im sure someone would have bet a ton of money that would have never happened this year.
  18. DA, Over the last 9 games is when he changed his swing... Which is why Im pointing out the ridiculousness of wanting him to change his swing again, at least give him another 2 weeks or so to see what happens with it. As for the second statement, hes still the best CF on the team and will continue to be until the Sox add another CF. There is no one on the team or system who is better, so its cutting your nose to spite your face.
  19. Ozzie picked a whipping boy in Rios last night, and it was one of the worst decisions (imo) that he could have made. All sitting Rios will do, is make Rios even less motivated. It did nothing to send a message to the team. Im not crusading for Rios, I think his stats speak for themselves. But if you are going to say that his new swing is wrong, it just doesnt statistically stand up. I guess the point is that you can only hope that he figures it out and does better. Hes been better over the last 2 weeks or so, so why would you want him to change at this point? I honestly think Rios is dogging it more tonight than last night, but his type of personality will revolt against a manager, which is why benching was silly.
  20. You guys know over the last 9 games or so Rios has been hitting really well, I think his average is over 300 (atleast thats what the stat said earlier in the game)
  21. And dont get me wrong, I dont think the Sox should bench Konerko. I just think getting all crazy about a player not running out a pop up is the least of the Sox worries. Go insane about a guy not hustling to break up a double play, go crazy about an OF walking to get a ball when the winning run scores, but getting bent out of shape about running out pop ups/fly balls, that is just a losing battle because to many superstars just dont do it, and you arent going to bench your best player over something irrelevant. I personally hate when AJ slams his bat down after he pops up, but if its okay for him to do that, how can you really get mad about another guy not running as hard as you think he should?
  22. Ozzie is so hypocritical on this issue, thats why no one respects it. After they pulled Rios, half the team dogged it to first on pop outs, fly outs etc. That means the benching made 0 impact. Even worse, the player who replaced Rios didnt even give 100% on a live ball in extra innings. If you are going to bench guys for not running to first base, you have to bench AJ, Konerko, Q, Ramirez and every other player who doesnt give 100% on a pop up. If you want to bench Rios because he hasnt been performing, just say it. But all Ozzie did was create a double standard. My guess is that he has completely lost the team. I just get a terrible vibe from the entire team right now.
  23. Screw you triceratops you got nothing on South Paw.
  24. At some point the Sox just are going to get lucky, it has to happen.
