Dunn should be sitting against lefties right now, hes just really off. -
Game is on FSC (Fox Soccer Channel) starting at 8pm cst. Big game for the US, its time for the US to build on the successes and start to become a more respected program.

Didnt look serious, honestly thought he would try and throw a few pitches to see if he could work it out. The fact he left the game is worrisome. AND HUGE LILLI, thats why you should be playing LF, because your defense alone will do more than JP right now. -

Well the only bright side is the Sox have 5 other starters and if Danks has to go on the dl, they can bring up a fresh pitcher for the pen tomorrow and then figure things out. Sox gotta score some runs today or the pen has to come up huge. -

I honestly thought the offense played a role in Michigan's defensive struggles. They offense was explosive, but the part of the problem with that is when you score quick your defense has to get right back on the field and doesnt get as much rest. Could be just me, I just never thought it was a great fit for Michigan, but should be good for Big 10 overall to have Michigan back to balance out the 2 divisions. -

Yeah now that Rodriquez is gone, Michigan is once again something to worry about in the Big 10. I know some Michigan fans liked him, but his system just never made sense because Michigan got top of the line talent, so they should just be lining up and mauling teams, not running a spread option. As for next year, should be a good battle with Wisconsin and OSU for the Leaders division. Wisconsin has a huge question at QB, but otherwise returns most of the team that went to the Rose Bowl. Because Wisconsin's offense is run first, the hope is that the QB doenst have a ton of responsibility, but only has to manage the game and not make mistakes. Should be a fun year in the Big 10, my only complaint is the selection of Indy for the title game. It should be outdoors because that is what Big 10 football is about. -
Based on today, things are going to work out as they always do. Time is an odd thing.

Yeah its odd to be 30 that is for sure.

F*** it III: Sox vs The National. First Pitch 7:10 CT
Soxbadger replied to Kyyle23's topic in 2011 Season in Review
Nationals above 500 without Dunn. Sox below 500 with Dunn. Time for the Dunn to get angry. -
Thanks! Hopefully I dont get in too much trouble.

Im not sure that there should be any sort of regulation, Im just saying the type of post that annoys me the most. And its not just in game threads, the problem is it spills over from a game thread into every other thread after.
-
I actually think my example is more what Chisoxfn is talking about, but you would have to ask him, but thats at least what I understood to be part of the problem, posters who are posting in negative absolutes just drowning out threads. He can correct me if Im wrong. (Edit) I wasnt giving a definition of hyperbole, I was more trying to explain what I thought Chisoxfn meant by his statement, I guess I could have been more clear and just said "here are examples of the type of posts that are annoying", but I was lazy and just used the word in the thread title.
-
No Bmags, its a perfect example because its just posters throwing s*** at the wall for no reason other than to be negative. I dont care about a person complaining about JP or whatever, but (atleast to me) its way more frustrating reading threads where the game is over, then season is over, is half the posts of the thread. I just dont think those type of posts add to the enjoyment of the board for most people, I know I certainly dont care to read threads where its: "Seasons over", "Games over", etc. But thats just my opinion, which almost always is in disagreement with yours, so at least we are consistent.

It wasnt about J4L, he just wanted to get on the proverbial cross and make it about him. -
Examples of hyperbole are: Its a 3-1 game, White Sox are winning: "Sox will never win" There are a ton of posts in a thread that is just simply asking that people stop being so damn snarky and petty, that maybe approach the board with a better attitude for the enjoyment of all. As Ive said previously, Ill defend anyones right to say their opinion, but that doesnt mean I wont think they are a complete asshat if they post like one. It really isnt that hard.
-
Im not sure if your going for the martyr here or what, but I dont think this is all about you. The place is annoyingly negative, at least in my opinion. I considered starting a joke thread that I wouldnt post in PHT until the Sox were above 500, just because I got tired of reading how the Sox are the worst etc, in every thread. To me though its not you, its just the state of White Sox fans right now or at least the more vocal ones on this site. Banning people wont change that, because its really hard to be positive and talk about how great the Sox are going to be when they seemingly cant get their s*** together. Maybe its that it seems like people are actively hoping the Sox lose, I dont know. At least that is my opinion on this controversy.

J4L, May not agree with what you say, but I do agree that you should be able to have your opinion (regardless of what I may think of it). That being said I can understand why people are frustrated with how the posting has been going, but that is the ebb and flow of message boards, especially sports. May not live for the board, but the loss of any poster is a loss. -

Forman said that Butler would play 3, some 2 potentially. Its clear they are going to try him at the 2, its just unclear whether he can actually do it. -
