  4. Yea they have 19 up now. I could have read it wrong, but ESPN has given me incorrect stat info at least 5 times this season.
  5. ESPN.com recorded 17 at the end of the game. Perhaps they changed that.

  8. They'd probably take Lee straight up. But yes, Honel, Borchard and Lee for an iffy pitcher in his contract year is WAY too steep.
  9. Nobody knows how to play it. They have a slow as hell line-up bogged down by right handers that don't get on base. Ozzie-ball looks awful when your 5-6-7-9 hitters are hitting a combined .251. It ain't Ozzie's style of play that is lacking this team, it is the fact that this team just flat out doesn't know how to hit. I like a lot of the players on the Sox, but my god do some of them need to go.
  10. I couldn't agree more. One of the things Cub fans like is that Chip is a Cub fan. He may be stupid, but he expresses what Cubs fans feel for the most part. I love Hawk, and I love that he relates to how I feel most of the time.
  11. Agreed, but there are players the White Sox can get rid of for us to be able to afford this.
  12. Reed can't give us a legitimate power threat in the middle of the order.
  13. I've looked at opposing views, but disagree.
  14. It's absurd that you think I'm in 'panic mode'. Argue your points, don't assume what I think. I've wanted Griffey from the get go, and I fail to see any reason why we shouldn't get him.
  15. Who on our team has 6 HR with 21 RBI? NOBODY. We have 1 damn guy with over 20 RBI. 1 guy! Not to mention our current CF is hitting .239 with 6 RBI's. He's an upgrade in offense over everyone but Frank and Magglio even if he hasn't gotten it going all the way yet. Bull s*** we don't need this guy.
  16. Poor management and lack of willingness has led to our 86 year drought. Good pitching always beats good hitting, but not every team has a Prior or a Pedro. It pays to have a good guy like Griffey in your line-up for their second-tier starters. And we all remember what happened to Prior and Pedro last post-season, don't we? Griffey is injury-prone yes, but the upside on this guy is immeasureable. He has more of an upside than ANYONE on our roster. The risk is there, but so is the reward. If the White Sox keep taking this safe way attitude they have been taking the last 86 years, it'll be another 86 years untill we win one.
  17. I hope your wrong. I want both of those players...and I don't see Seattle wanting Griffey with the record they currently have, the age they currently are, and in the division they currently are in.
  18. We haven't won since 1917...f*** 2006-2009. Future this, future that. I'm tired of it. I don't care what problems Griffey gives us in the future, if he can put us closer to a championship, he's worth everything.
  19. He makes 9 million, with a lot of it deferred. Carlos Lee makes 6 million, with I assume none of it deferred. There are teams that have interest in Carlos Lee. Seattle might be one of them, and LA could be another. Same with Konerko, and same teams. Not to mention both of those teams can afford those players. With what the Sox plans look to be, Griffey would be a much welcomed addition into our line-up.
  20. Read what I wrote. MOST OF HIS MONEY IS DEFERRED. Not to mention you trade Lee and Konerko, that creates money space that doesn't really need to be created for Griffey. (Note: that doesn't mean I'm saying trade Konerko and Lee for Griffey.) I'll say it again, the White Sox can afford Griffey.
  21. Most of it is deferred, therefore the White Sox can afford this guy.
