  1. I meant with Foulke resigning...but yes, I'd rather have Keith Foulke than Cotts, Olivo and Botch. Plus, wasn't Olivo part of the Bradford trade? So essentially, it comes down to Cotts or Foulke? I'll be damned if I take Cotts over Foulke. Foulke + Big Money > Koch + Cotts + Big Money
  2. It was a joke pointing out how moot his argument was. Billy Koch is a loser compared to the great closers...not to mention closers back then used to have a pair of testicles and could pitch more than one inning.
  3. Are you suggesting Billy Koch is one of the all-time greats?
  4. He doesn't know how to pitch. He never has. He's just now learning how to pitch. He depended on a 100 MPH heater, and now that he doesn't have it, he has to pitch how the majority of pitchers need to pitch. ...With their head.
  5. The numbers go beyond just blown saves. Sure, you're going to tell me all that matters is the number of converted saves is all that matters...but what kind of a toll does sweating out every ninth inning take on your team? I remember people b****ing about Keith Foulke, now people defend this clown Koch? Please. I'd give anything to reverse that trade...even give Big Mo back.
  6. His ERA is 4.43...that's poor for any reliever that isn't a long man. His whip is a laughable 1.38, and he's given up a run 7 out of his 21 appearances. If you're a closer and you give up a run 33% of the time you're out there, you have no reason to be closing.
  7. The only guy off that list that is a legit closer is Smoltz. The others you list aren't 'super' by any means. Dotel is in his first year in the ninth inning, Hawkins isn't even a closer, and Guardado has never really been considered a top tier closer by anyone except people in the AL Central.
  8. He has ONLY 8 saves. 2 blown and 8 converted is not a great ratio. And Uribe saves his ass on one of them... Koch sucks, face it.

  10. A Jeff Suppan type player? KW doesn't give a rats about the Sox prospects. He'll get them an impact player like Freddy Garcia.
  11. Ken Hill. I nearly forgot about that.

  13. I wasn't making any comparisons to Sammy Sosa. Sosa isn't the best RFer in this town, and there can be arguments made that he's not even a top five player in this city anymore. Magglio is the best player in Chicago, yet the Tribune gives Prior the benefit of the doubt? The bastard has pitched one full season for christ sakes.
  14. No question? Bull s***. He's not even one year removed from his first full season and he's already riding the DL train. Magglio Ordonez is a four time all-star and has never had a history of riding the DL for prolonged periods of time. Come tell me Prior is a better player than Maggs when he plays everyday, doesn't ride the DL for half a season and is a 4 time all-star. Untill then, Prior isn't even the best pitcher in Chicago. And the reason there is no Sosa watch is because he has no creditability in this town anymore. Cheaters never win.
  15. I haven't read the trib in a few days...but is there a Magglio Ordonez watch yet? I know it's quite a stupid thing to bring up, but Magglio is established as probably the best player in this city...
  16. I'm willing to part with Borchard and Cotts for Sabathia.
  17. I couldn't believe it when I saw it up there on Google. That seven eleven sig is great too.

  20. Thanks. FutureSox will be getting a nice upgrade soon as well.
  21. Good point, I have it right on the main page, but not the article.

  23. With a 29-20 record and no signs of slowing down, Maggs ain't going anywhere.
  24. Agreed, he's realized his mistake and is trying to compensate for it0. You don't call a player out like Kenny did. Rauch made a mistake, he was wrong, so you punish him. However, you don't go off on a rampage and tell the media that his ass is getting traded before even speaking to the guy. A ridiculous move on Kenny's part.
