QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Aug 26, 2005 -> 04:09 PM) No he was dominating in Tacoma this year. All of Seattle's minor leagues are on the west coast. All of the White Sox minor leagues are on the East coast. That's what I thought. Thanks for clearing that up.

QUOTE(Frank the Tank 35 @ Aug 26, 2005 -> 04:04 PM) If ever there was a time to let Brian Anderson start... anybody know if he's seen him before? Good question. I'm sure they might have crossed paths sometime in their minor league careers. Felix may have come straight from AA, but not too sure on that.

QUOTE(alexgtp @ Aug 26, 2005 -> 03:24 PM) I was wondering if any of you are the same as me. I have not missed a whitesox broadcast this year. If I am at work i listen to them on the radio. I the game starts befor i get home I have it on the tivo.. Heck I sometimes even listen to the game in the afternoon if it is an afternoon game and than i get home I watch the comcast replay.. WTF!! Issues I tell ya... While I have missed a few games this year (via family, work or other events) everything else pretty much is me in a nutshell. If I work late, I listen to the walkman on the train. If we're going out, I listen in the car. If I have to take the dog out, I pause the DVR. You get the point. Are we normal? Probably not. But we're baseball fans. It's an addiction.

We have a wedding to go to on October 7 (yes, it's a Friday!) which falls right on Game 3 of the ALDS!! My wife's quote last night "Sometimes I think you put baseball ahead of too many things"

Timo has delivered a few clutch hits than I can remember: -Yesterday's go-ahead single. -The go-ahead 2-run single again Min (even though the Sox lost in 16 innings) -The game-winning hit on Memorial Day against Anaheim -The game-tying hit against Oakland. He also threw out Ryan trying to score the tying run yesterday. I'm not saying he's a great player or anything, but he's delivered in the clutch more times than a few other guys on the team. Go ahead and rip me, I don't care.

QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Aug 26, 2005 -> 08:48 AM) They faced Felix in ST. He was hitting 98 on the gun in that game. So while it was a while ago, they did face him. And Konerko hit a HR off of him. But ST means s*** now. I think Hernandez will pitch a good game. Which one do I mean? Doesn't matter. -
This is from the Sox website....

No mention of Bajenaru. Sorry.

Nice save for Bobby, even though it was a BS call that knock it to extras. Jonny deserved #17 today. But, hey, I'll take 2 out of 3. Starting Pitching the entire series TIMO BLUM JENKS

QUOTE(CYGarland @ Aug 25, 2005 -> 01:06 PM) Yesterday was an abberation No, it was there weekly game of scoring 1 run or more.

Carl "Swing For The Fence" Everett" :headshake

Another week until the September call-ups. There's gotta be someone down there better than some of these guys. Pedro Lopez? Hell, put Willie in there for awhile.
-
Rincon on for the Twinks.
-
QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Aug 25, 2005 -> 12:58 PM) Hopefully an unconditional release!!!!

The funny thing is, Crede is due for arbitration. He's got Bora$$ as his agent. I'd like to see what he gets in the offseason.

QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Aug 25, 2005 -> 12:54 PM) Hell No! Calling the Sox offense! You should put that last word in quotes.

QUOTE(Colorado Sox Fan @ Aug 25, 2005 -> 12:52 PM) OK. You be the manager. Who pitches in 7, 8, 9 for Sox? I say Garland, Cotts, Hermanson. Unless Garland is shot. Then, I go with Cotts, Jenks, Hermanson. I'm sure Ozzie will do his usually matchup stuff and bring in Marte to give up a hit to a lefthander. If I heard correctly, Jenks was in the bullpen. Go w/him, Cotts, then Dustin.

QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Aug 25, 2005 -> 12:51 PM) Just need 9 outs, and don't let them score. The offensive slump is not over. Especially with Felix Hernandez tomorrow. :puke

QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Aug 25, 2005 -> 12:46 PM) Its nice to see we are dancing again with less than 2 runs. The pitchers probably want to get bats to beat the crap out of our hitters. CAN WE ACTUALLY SCORE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, OR ARE WE GOING TO HOLD ON A 1 RUN LEAD. Well they've reached their quota of scoring 6 runs one game for the week. Don't be greedy.
-
Changed my mind. We need Neal Cotts in there.
-
90 pitches for Big Jon. This may be his last inning. Then maybe Jenks.
-
QUOTE(Steff @ Aug 25, 2005 -> 12:40 PM) Or not... Hey, he made contact.
-
Damn.
-
Time for Rowand to revert back to his 2 out clutch hitting.
-
Hey, at least Crede made it to the outfield. That's kind of an improvement. Maybe not.
