All five starters had great starts in a row and now all of them are getting shelled. So if the cycle holds true, don't expect good starts from Contreras or El Duque.

He has absolutely no confidence when he's hitting. I remember when he first came up Hawk was spouting off how he would eventually hit 20 homers a year. Watching him now, I wonder if he could hit 20 homers a year in batting practice.
I've never understood how hitters or even pitchers shine in the minors and then come up to the majors and underperform. They should call it the Scott Ruffcorn Disease.

LOL. Rangers TV guys saying that "Aaron has a great looking goatie. Looks like it's drawn on with a sharpie. He's very well groomed."
I guess they never saw Rocky Biddle.

What are the chances of the offense scoring a lot of runs in each of these games? I hope Ozzie doesn't use a Sunday line-up in game 2 against a guy making his major league debut.
Well, you know Widger will be playing. Iguchi will be playing. He may choose to rest Podsednik. After that, it's anyone's guess.

If you get shut down by this guy, you deserve to lose. I think a lot of our guys match-up better against him than Benoit.
We'll see. That was a pretty tough, 9 pitch inning for him, though.

If we were to win this game, it would be our first victory this month after trailing by more than one run. If that doesn't speak wonders about your offense, nothing does.
When was the last time they scored more than 6 runs?

carl needs to get the walk in that situation, and put himself on base. Foul a couple of more off, and then wait for the last ball.
You're right. Although it seems all he's been doing is trying to hit a HR and nothing else.
