According to Gameday and the whitesox.com, Adkins is back.

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Sep 6, 2005 -> 03:22 PM) Aj maybe getting a few days off cause of the wife? More than likely. She probably hasn't delivered yet.

Off the great Island in the sky. RIP.

I'm confident Ozzie will be sticking to his "riding the hot hand" motto. Plus, they'll be going with an extra pitcher on the roster if Hermy isn't 100%. IMO, I have all the faith in the world in McCarthy over Hernandez. He has shown the poise to succeed facing two powerhouse hitting teams the last two times out.

4/30 v. Detroit (4-3 Win) - Froze my ass off in the bleachers!! 8/15 v. Minnesota (4-2 Loss) Boring game. 8/21 v. New York (6-2 Win) - 4 HR's off Randy Johnson in 1 inning! Contreras amazing. 9/2 v. Detroit (9-1 Win) Willie Harris actually hits a HR. I can live to tell people that I witnessed this in person! Garcia pitches amazing. At home, too! 9/19 v. Cleveland (7-5 Loss) Loudest I've heard the crowd all year. Possibly the biggest game of the year. Sox rally from 4-0 deficit. Everett with a moonshot to RF, give the Sox their only lead. Bullpen can't hold 5-4 lead. Due in part to Ozzie's mismanagment. Lead down to 2 1/2. Next game: The "P" word. Or sometime in 2006. Final 2005 record with me in attendance: 3-2

They probably get in as late-inning replacements in blow outs. Remember, once the division is clinched there's still the home-field to worry about. We're only about 4 1/2 ahead of Boston in that category. Scrubs like Borchard shouldn't see the starting lineup until that's clinched as well.

QUOTE(aboz56 @ Sep 6, 2005 -> 10:16 AM) A recent photo of Orlando Hernandez: Let's hope El Duque can lend his T-Stand to Lima-Time tonight. Great win yesterday. Let's keep it up. And get the Magic #down to hopefully 15.

White Sox VS. Red SOX -Game thread (Sep 5th)
bjm676 replied to kman's topic in 2005 Season in Review
If I remember correctly, Timo took Schilling deep last year. Also glad to not see Damon in there. HAPPY LABOR DAY -
This will definitely be a test for big Jon. If there's anyone in the Tiggies rotation who can shut down an offense, it's Bonderman. It may be a low scoring game. It's been almost a month since win Jon earned #16, so hopefully today will be the day for #17.

QUOTE(BamaDoc @ Sep 3, 2005 -> 07:52 PM) These two would pitch the next two games after Boston. I hope we leave them in Chicago and avoid wearing them down in useless travel. Not to worry, they won't be coming along. http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb...t=.jsp&c_id=cws

I'm lovin' that Uribe leg kick!! If only he'd been able to go the other way so often the entire year. Great to have Iguchi back in the lineup and fall a HR short of a cycle. The "O" is back, baby 20 Let's get it into the teens tomorrow!!!

This time there won't be funny center field lights to mess with Buehrle. Freddy recovered nicely last night from his previous outing, hopefully Mark can do the same. No reason why they can't keep up the hot hitting. Go Twins!!

QUOTE(Felix @ Sep 2, 2005 -> 08:48 PM) According to ESPN.com, it was 25,502. Thanks to my wife and I, we were the 2.

Good luck on your future ventures, Rooney. f***ing horrible decision. :headshake
-
We will be there tonight. Sans mullets. Although, I hope this won't be a case of getting shut out after scoring a lot of runs the previous night. It was the first time scoring 10+ runs in a game since July 25. Plus, Freddy's pitching at home. I might need to do a lot of this BTW, If anyone wants an extra Core of The Core ticket, PM me. It includes a parking pass.

Harris now playing. According to Gameday: Pods Ozuna Everett Konerko Rowand Dye AJ Uribe Harris

I'll be there tomorrow as well. My wife is buying me an authentic Buehrle jersey at the game as her anniversary gift to me. She agreed to go only if she didn't have to wear a mullet.
-
Guess that answers my question.

I know there was an open spot on the 40-man. Was Sanders originally on it? Or did somebody else get optioned out?

QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 1, 2005 -> 01:54 PM) Maybe I missed it, but is Borchard getting called up? Borchard will be recalled on Sep. 6 along with Anderson & Bajenaru. Teams can't recall players after sending them down for 10 days or until the Minor League season ends. Don't know why they are waiting on Borchard, though.

QUOTE(Felix @ Sep 1, 2005 -> 01:52 PM) Casanova instead of Burke? Why? I agree. Makes no sense. He worked well with our pitchers last year and was actually a decent hitter.

Put this in the Game Thread today. Figured it was appropriate here. August is in the past. September is here. 27 of 31 games are against their own division. Just to put things in perspective: If the Sox go 16-15 this month, Cleveland will have to go 23-6 just to take the division. This after going 19-8 in August. Don't see that happening. Happy Times will be back on the South Side.
