The loss last year where Valentin dropped the foul ball against the Twins when the standings were much closer was a harder loss to take for me. Credit goes to Hawk, he didn't like the feel of the game all night.
That game you're referring to. That was against the Twins.
This is the f***ing Royals. The worst team in baseball.
A team we had a 5 run lead against. A team that had about 15 hits off of our "stellar" pitching.
:puke
Personally, I think "Prison Break" is a great show. A little bit "24," a little bit "Sopranos," a little bit "Shawkshank Redemption" mixed together, for some really entertaining television. This new fall season is going to have some promising shows. I saw that "Reunion" show last week. Good premise, but can it last past one season? Fox is turning into my favorite channel to watch.
I tried and tried and tried and tried, but I just couldn't stay up. Getting up for work was definitely more important. Anyway, With Bobby Jenks coming in, I knew things would turn out right.
Rowand - (one for each 2B)
Contreras - (Not your best performance, but better than any of the other 4 guys recently)
Uribe - (Keep it up)
I hope whatever is affecting Damaso, he gets straightened and gets back to being the effective pitcher that he was. Saying that, he was the one pitcher that I was afraid would give a bomb or crucial walk in the playoffs.
Even though one pitch hasn't even been thrown in the KC series, I thought I would look ahead and show the possible pitching matchups in the Twinkiedome. The Sox really need to step it up against KC.
Friday: Garland v. Baker (rookie, haven't faced him yet )
Saturday: Hernandez v. Santana
Sunday: Contreras v. Lohse
Thankfully, Saturday's game is not on TV.
Nobody better on the mound tonight than good, old Contreras. Mr. Reliable. Who'd have thought we'd be relying on him out of all of our starters to end losing streaks?
Also, suddenly I'm an A's fan after despising them all year.
AOL is for people who still have dial up. Other than that, it's pretty much crap and useless. Pay for broadband and you won't need it. You'll essentially be taking out the middle man (AOL).

You have to be nuts to think Ozzie will leave Duque off the postseason roster (if he doesn't blow our chance to make it before then).
I know he's going to be on there. But one can only dream. That is IF we even get to the postseason.

Well Willie or Gload is going to be on the post-season roster cause the Sox won't be carrying 12 pitchers. That means one of Bmac/Duque won't make the playoff roster.
That's fine with me. Duque should be no where near a post-season roster. He pitched in it once last season? But has been pretty much mediocre since 2000. Who cares if McCarthy is just a kid. Put him on it.
But we all know Ozzie "it's all about respect" :headshake

Imagine if I had real problems to deal with...like living in New Orleans...or Iraq...
By the way, now I feel better.
