Not only does a deal for Overbay make sense for this year, it makes sense for next year as well. It tells us PK is all but gone, unless they're planning on moving him to DH which I highly doubt. A package of Fields, McCarthy and maybe a Ross Gload or PTBNL?

With Lowell getting thrown into this deal, this obviously mean we won't be seeing Frank for awhile. Lowell at DH?

A lot of people have been saying Baltimore, because "they're easy to beat, have no pitching, etc." You never know what can happen in the playoffs. They also have a stacked lineup as well. No one from the Central besides the Twins will win the Wild Card. I just don't see it happening. It's going to come down to them, Oakland, and some team from the AL East. That being said, I'd rather it be Minnesota. For the simple fact that Oakland doesn't go to the playoffs. Unless they win the AL West, which I don't see happening. The Angels are too good.

Anyone else think that KW may spin-off Lowell in another deal? I really don't see the need for him. Maybe the Marlins are saying the Burnett deal is contingent on the Sox taking him. Just a thought.
