That was very similar to that Baltimore game when struck out Tejada on that nasty pitch.

That's why Garland is an All-Star this year. Garland '01-'04 would have had the makings of a big inning. That could have set the tone of the game right there and swayed the momentum towards the Red Sox. But Garland's got great confidence and knew he could get out it. Get pitching there Jon.

We need to find out now where we stack up vs. a World Series caliber team, so we can adjust and go from there. That is why I think yesterday's loss was not altogether bad. Very true. This series will definitely show what are weaknesses and strengths are. I agree, as we are now I don't see the Sox having enough to win the World Series as they are. That "Best record in baseball" line can only go so far. So again, hopefully this shows Ozzie and KW what needs to be done in the next week and a half.

Tim Wakefield. Knuckleballs. You think our offense is in a funk now, just wait until after tonight. This guy can mess up guys swings for weeks. Anyway, Garland just has to keep doing what he's been doing all year long. Win #15 won't be easy if he gets it tonight.
