  1. 72 pitches already for Buerhle, so even though he's escaping danger, he's probably only got 2 or 3 innings left.
  2. Ozzie must be thinking Halladay is going to be very tough today.
  3. SQUEEZE! Yeah Ozzie! (See Willie, that wasn't too hard.)
  4. On the double, not making excuses for Buerhle by any means, but if the relay is handled better than an f-ing little league team, there might have been a play at the plate. Just a thought. Ok, bounce back, crooked number?
  5. quality job by Buerhle. A crap bunt by Harris, one down.
  6. I'm coming down for the games each night (from Gettysburg, Baltimore is about 1 hour away). I always love Camden Yards, but especially when the Sox are there. Great seeing that Esteban is going on Monday!
  7. Fair enough dude. I was just estimating and guessing we were about 1/7th of the way through, which is how a got the 28 number. I was attempting to make the point that, even if his power numbers are a bit less than they were at the height of his career, his contributions as far as BA and OBP would still be very impressive and valuable. Thanks for the correction.
  8. Even if he does hit only 25-28 HR's (which is about his pace). I'd definitly take that if, on the other hand, he hits over .300 and nearly .500 OBP.
  9. Harris, Uribe, Thomas, Konerko, Dransfeldt all with 2 hits each Thomas 2-2, 2 BB, avg .304 Ordonez HR (7), 19 RBI in first 21 games (pace for about 145) Very balanced attack (basically everyone got rolling in the 6th), 6 players with 1 RBI each. Uribe new BA .393! Konerko .299 attend. 11,210
  10. Damnit Billy, whatever you do GET AHEAD IN THE COUNT! I'm ready for the ninth...
  11. Neal Cotts 2 IP, 1 H, 3 K's 26 pitches, 17 strikes, ERA now 0.90 Gotta love numbers like those.
  12. In Minnesota... bad news.... Twins win 7-4 Stewart and Mientkiewicz singled to lead off the ninth. Koskie pops out. Hunter hits an RBI single to center to make it 4-4. The next batter, Jacque Jones, hits a 3 run HR. Game over.
  13. mendy lopez hits into a game-ending DP, Texas wins 3-2.
  14. Shannon Stewart, lead off single for Minnesota to start their 9th.
  15. David DeJesus (no clue who he is) grounds to Soriano who comes home and gets Ken Harvey at the plate, 1 out, bases still loaded
  16. santiago walks for KC, bases loaded, 0 out, looks like Texas will blow it.
  17. 3-2 Texas bot 9th, but KC is threatening (1st and 3rd, 0 out) Benito Santiago at bat.
  18. Toronto does nothing in their half of the 9th, going to the bottom, still 4-3
  19. Ryan flies out to end the 8th. Still 4-3 Toronto
