I was at Camden the last two nights. Gettysburg is about 1:15 away from Baltimore. I won't be there tonight (finally f'ing schoolwork caught up with me). I'll be watching it on ESPN.
But as far as last night, I chalk the poor performance up to it simply being one of those nights where no one really felt like playing hard. Not to make excuses, but hey, it happens when you play 162 games, you just hope it happens very rarely. It was disappointing to me, just because it was one of the few games I'll see them play in person this season.
Basically you combine a couple booted ground balls, a couple bad throws by Miguel, the pitchers (again) being wild and completly falling asleep with runners on base (Roberts tied an Oriole team record with 4 SBs last night), and the offense was mostly dead, and it was just one of those nights.
Hopefully the Sox come back strong tonight and win the series. Any series win on the road is still damn good.
PS - about Camden, I've been there a total of about 12 or 13 times (all but 4 of which were when the Sox were there) and I always enjoy the stadium, regardless of how the Sox do. The park is beautiful, the food is great, (not as good as Comiskey though) and the harbor area of Baltimore is very nice too.
