  1. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Nov 8, 2005 -> 11:56 PM) Maggs would more than likely come through in that situation while Konerko popped out to short. If you gimme a healthy Maggz vs Konerko in that situation.... id take Maggz in a heartbeat.
  2. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Nov 8, 2005 -> 11:47 PM) here are some stats for all the Grossman lovers: they are the stats from their respective careers so far QB Rating: Grossman- 71.2 Orton- 62.9 Pass Comp %: Orton: 54.2 Grossman: 54.5 TDS: Orton- 7 Grossman- 3 YDS: Orton- 1186 Grossman- 1044 Besides the QB Rating which will get better with time How the f*** Is Grossman so much better than Orton Ok now take into account that Orton has had better recievers, O-Line, and an actual top running game..... and than consider in what 5 complete games of Grossman compared to 8 of Orton.... and Orton has only 100 more yards in 3 more games? Not 2 mention right now we have the best defense we have had for awhile giving Orton constantly good field position.....
  3. and why would you leave out Konerko's lousy 2003.... Thats like saying it didnt happen... well guess what it did...... Thats like people who say lets look at Orton's stats not counting the Cincy game. And Maggz is definitely a better hitter by a ton... the only thing Konerko does better is hit HR's....
  4. The point is they offered Maggz that contract b4 his injury. And while he was with the Sox Magglio was never known to be a cancer more so a quiet leader.... Also how is Konerko's defense better? I mean sure in his little zone he is good and he is awesome at scooping balls from the dirt but his range is horrible.
  5. Scott Boras by far.... if for nothing else since there is no salary cap in MLB he can command so much more money while in the NFL every team has the same salary cap and Drew can only do so much.
  6. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Nov 8, 2005 -> 11:27 PM) im diehard and Orton is better. Grossman will just have to try not to get injured while on the bench. :puke
  7. B4 people predict them running the table can they look at their schedule first? There are really only 2 teams that stick out a jaguar team still trying to find themselves but are a good team.... and than the Patriots who are what 4-4 and half the team is injured? They havent faced any really good teams yet... Other wins consist of Baltimore, Cleveland, Tenesee, San Fran, Rams(with Jamie Martin or whatevr), Houstan. Now they got some actual legit opponents coming up Cincy, Steelers, San Diego, Seattle, and Jaguars again
  8. QUOTE(DukeNukeEm @ Nov 8, 2005 -> 11:12 PM) Let me say this again. If youve watched college football AT ALL, youd know taht Ortons arm is 10X better than Rex's If you mean by having a cannon... yes Orton has a stronger arm... but if you mean throwing the long ball... Grossman is much better at that.
  9. stop being a homer.... Maggz hit .317 with a .380 OBP the year b4 his injury with an OPS of .926. Konerko had a lower avg, obp, and ops this season and thats with a career high OPS and OBP. Maggz had an OPS of .900 plus for 4 seasons in a row while last year was Konerko's first.
  10. QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Nov 8, 2005 -> 09:48 PM) All ye who wanted to acquire this guy a few years ago, any regrets now? We still dont know if he was actually involved in it..... Whatevr happened to innocent until proven guilty? Also one of the big reasons people wanted him is because he would of came at the freddy garcia discount since he hangs out with Ozzie.
  11. QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Nov 8, 2005 -> 10:51 PM) 16 votes for Orton. Hey, if you voted for him, send me a PM and let me know where you get your drugs at. I dont know how much of these people are die-hard Bears fans and the NFL in general.... but I do know that people I talk to.... the more casual fan usually likes Orton while the diehard one and the one who likes all football in general rather have Grossman in there.
  12. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Nov 8, 2005 -> 06:22 PM) Then there's no reason not to offer Konerko at least 5 years. They were roughly the same age, Ordonez had much bigger health questions than Konerko, Konerko just won a ring, etc. If they went 5 years on Ordonez, my money says they'll offer PK 5 years. I would be surprised if they offered more than that, unless the money per year went down. They offered 5 years to Maggz b4 his injury..... and b4 that injury Maggz was a much better player than Konerko.
  13. Their defense is fine..... they just need to work on rebounding as a whole and stop committing stupid fouls by reaching in when there is no chance you will get the ball.
  14. Orton has the lowest QB rating among starting QB's...... how is he helping us win? Some of you Orton lovers need to lay off the kool aid. Give Grossman a chance to start if he gets injured Orton can come right back in.... and I think maybe sitting our a few games could help him anyway....
  15. What does them being fine Christian men have anything to do with it?
  16. QUOTE(knightni @ Nov 8, 2005 -> 09:03 AM) Kenny's got the guns though. LMAO ........ I dont know where I saw the pic... but it was one of Frank Thomas when he was younger and damn he had a lot of muscle....
  17. The thing that ticked me off the most in this game is Kirk was obviously having an off night and he kept jacking up shots it seems..... and than when he stepped out of bounds The other thing was Gordon... he is a great offensive player but he tries to drive in around 3 people and that s*** aint going to work.... I guess the last thing is the bulls*** of the NBA. Bowen and Ginobli were all over our guys hacking the s*** out of them and no fouls but we get touch fouls called on us.... its ridiculous.... Its kind of funny of the easiest sport to officiate basketball does the worse job.
  18. Yeah to be a cheerleader you need a sexy body not neccesarily a sexy face lol.... where is that picture of the one bulls cheerleader... god I hope she is gone.
  19. I hate when people say Orton is 5-3..... Orton is not 5-3 the Bears are 5-3 and to be honest he has very little to do with those wins. If Orton was contributing to the wins and part of the reason we are winning id say keep him in.... but right now he is Michael Vick w/out the speed
  20. The only way Id consider a Rogo at 1B plan is if they went and spent the money to bring in Giles at RF and traded away Dye. Also a course brought back Frank. Anyone think this lineup would get it done? Podsenick Iguchi Giles Thomas Pierznski Crede Uribe Rogowski Anderson
  21. I know he is a good guy and everything and I love it that a player would take time to talk to fans on a message board. But I really dont expect much from Bullard and dont think he will be on the 40 man roster. That being said what do i know
  22. Wow if the dad wasnt bad enough... the mom is worse
  23. QUOTE(Texsox @ Nov 8, 2005 -> 12:43 AM) I can't believe any Sox fan, after seeing what team can achieve, could support TO. Well first of all I dont like to mix sports.... they are very different from one another. 2nd it depends on how you view TO. I view him as something to laugh at.... and with every dumb thing he does I find it funny..... if you take him seriously than it pisses you off but the stuff he does is so dumb I just find it hilarious.
  24. QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ Nov 8, 2005 -> 12:15 AM) I didn't say he had a great season, but Cano helped his team IMO better than Street. This isnt the MVP its RoY who was the best rookie... and Street was clearly better than Cano.
  25. QUOTE(DukeNukeEm @ Nov 7, 2005 -> 11:55 PM) She look better there? She needs a nose job or something.
