QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Nov 10, 2005 -> 07:12 PM) Don't ask me. All I know is that he draws stupid penalty after stupid penalty. He had a couple last game but overall I have no clue what your whining about..........

Id say its definitely out there..... I really didnt get all that about the guy with the 13th floor lol....Anyways looks like you put a lot of time into it so keep it up

QUOTE(qwerty @ Nov 10, 2005 -> 08:02 AM) What are you yalking about? http://www.baseball-almanac.com/pitching/pinohit1.shtml The Andy Hawkins game? he only went 8 innings though.

QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Nov 10, 2005 -> 07:56 AM) Because he has lied and lied and lied before finally admitting. Lawton was very open about it and never tried to cover it up. He didn't lie to Congress. Palmeiro's a joke. He is still trying to avoid blame though is my point.... just come out and say I f***ed up... I think sometimes guys might do something by accident which is while im against the 2 year ban for 1st time offense but Palmiero has been in the league long enough that he definitely knew what he was doing.

Bears impending QB "controversy"?

Well for 1 he has accounted for 2 losses.... Id say not leading your team to 1 scoring drive... not even a fg which is all we would of needed is a reason to point the loss at him... and than obviously the Cincy game. Now go look at it the other way around... how many of those games has Orton really been a big reason that we won? That first detroit game? No id say our defense forcing 5 turnovers, RB's rushing near 200 yards, and special teams scoring a TD had more to it. The vikings game? No not really he had the 2 TD's but both were really short and the reason we were there is because of the defense and TJ.... Orton barely threw over 100 yards that game. Against the Ravens? Considering our leading reciever only had 50 yards.... and we only scored 10 points.... and TJ ran for around 140... I dont think Orton was a big factor into that game either... Also the only actual TD drive we had was deeply aided by Raven penalties... and the Ravens only scoring 6 points... For the 2nd Detroit game I give him some credit for because he was part of that good 2nd quarter.... but another way to look at it is to say outside of that quarter he didnt score any points and our defense had to win the game with a TD... still ill give him some credit. And than while he had that big pass to Muhsin at the end vs the Saints he played terrible the whole game... and if we did end up losing it would of been mostly because of him....... So if your looking at games that Orton had a major role in... Id say he is 1-2...... -
QUOTE(YASNY @ Nov 10, 2005 -> 07:33 AM) The fact remains, regardless of the so called reason. He said a team discount not an Ozzie discount
-
QUOTE(YASNY @ Nov 10, 2005 -> 07:12 AM) Freddie Garcia also took less than he could have received on the open market. Yeah but Freddy was more so because of Ozzie.... those guys were more so for the team...
-
Why dont guys learn its much better to admit to it. Giambi admitted to it and the media was never on his case and while being booed it was nothing like what Palmiero got. And than Lawton admitted to it and nothing really has been said against him. And he is one of the biggest players to be caught under the new policy.

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Nov 10, 2005 -> 06:30 AM) After his performance against New Orleans, and games coming up against the defences of Carolina, Atlanta and Tampa Bay, don't you think this is actually possible? Especially with only 1 good WR target in Muhammed. The funny thing is he has been completely blowing the whole season lol.... well except for that 1st Detroit game he actually was efficient and made smart throws. Us Bear fans are just so used to crappiness we are settling for Orton. I dont think people realize how much better we could be with Grossman back there. And since he is a rookie watching the games will do nothing but help Orton anyways so if Grossman gets injured I think we will see a better Orton return(better than he is currently that is not better than Grossman). It would give Orton more time to just work on his mechanics and not worry 2 much about the upcoming game. And hopefully than if he has to come back his long ball will be more accurate. -
The good thing is he started one game at LT I think for Jonathon Tait.... and he actually wasnt really half bad. Also Ruben Brown is still questionable so I think Garza is starting 1 more game.
-
Well I just hope its a matter of time where both Sweetney and Deng will be starting ahead of Nocioni and Songalia....
-
Santana and Sheets both took smaller contracts than what they could of got in the open market. Santana at the begining of his contract year and Sheets in the middle of it.

QUOTE(qwerty @ Nov 10, 2005 -> 04:17 AM) He looked good defensively the first game... really good. The last three games? The last three games he has looked stupid again... and often. Actually Skiles said the Nets game was Gordon's best overall game... so im guessing he defended pretty well in that game too.
-
QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Nov 9, 2005 -> 10:28 PM) I think they are going to move Garza around on the line to keep him in the games. This actually happened at a fortunate time for the Bears, because Ruben Brown was due to come back this week and relegate Garza to the backup role again. Yeah but this is a little different.... Garza is a RG I think so he was already out o position taking over for Ruben..... now your asking to play tackle which is a lot different from being a guard..... Idonno how that will work out.

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Nov 9, 2005 -> 09:53 PM) He was asked to win the game this past Sunday and made a tremendous pass to Mushin to set up the game winning score. The Bears obviously can't ask for him to do too much, but thus far he's done whats been asked of him. Its not like they have called a ton of plays down field for him. They got a little more agressive against the Saints and to be honest he didn't play that well, but he was able to overcome all his bad throws to make some really good ones when necessary. Asked to win? He almost loss us that game.... 2 interceptions and a fumble...... not 2 mention if it wasnt for a ticky tack pass interference would of been 3 interceptions...... That was one of Ortons worse games.... he made a few nice throws at the end.... but how about our RB's going easily over 100 mark in the 2nd half alone.... -
is it really a surprise that Texas banned it?
-
QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Nov 9, 2005 -> 06:28 AM) I hope this doesn't happen. I know he was talking about retirement a while back, so in my opinion, this is believable. Well you guys wont really miss a beat with Larry Johnson back there.... and that O-Line making holes for him.

QUOTE(aboz56 @ Nov 9, 2005 -> 05:24 AM) Had Francouer played the entire year in the majors, he would have won it quite easily. Full season his numbers project to around .300, 30 HR and 105 RBI or so. IMO he'll be a much better player than Ryan Howard. I disagree... I think pitchers are going to solve Francouer this season and since he doesnt take many walks its going to really hurt him...
-
from BHam's reports it seems that while he had a shaky year it was 1 on the path of recovery.... So im really reserving judgement on how he does this season.
-
Well since your hear can you tell us everything you throw and all.... and what you feel is your out pitch and everything.

Bears impending QB "controversy"?

The point of the whole thing is that he is a rookie.... and Grossman has been in the league a lot longer even if he doesnt have all the game experiance. And when Grossman was in there with worse WR's he threw a more accurate deep ball and threw for a lot more yards. In our division with our team we can make the playoffs with Orton... but if you expect to win a game in the playoffs Grossman gives us the best shot. No one is a Orton hater... just some of us arent Orton homers. -
QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Nov 9, 2005 -> 01:01 AM) They were just one of the 3 best defensive teams in the league last year. They will be quite similar again this year. I hate blaming officiating, but the Bulls got totally jobbed in this game. They weren't letting the Bulls play D (always calling tick fouls) but Manu was hacking and slapping the hell out of people and getting no calls (as was Bowen). And the thing was thru the first 3 quarters the refs werent even that bad... at least to me they were fairly decent.... but the 4th they just went retarded and in the Spurs must win mode...
-
QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Nov 9, 2005 -> 01:03 AM) Not even close. Rosenhaus is a lying prick. Boras may be a hard-line agent, but he's fairly honest with teams and really does work out the best deals for his clients. Fairly honest? Ask the rangers how honest he is... or how about him basicly screwing the draft for what its meant to be....

Why do people say if Orton all of a sudden starts to stink... he has the lowest QB rating of all NFL starters and he fumbles a whole lot. Cant hit a wide open reciever on the sidelines........ Is he better than Krenzel, Quinn, Hutch from last year.... yes.... Is he doing good for a rookie... yes.... Is he helping our team win in any way NO
