  1. Trust me, someone will pick him up. He wasnt an All-Star last year for nothing. I'm sure there are lots of teams out there that will be interested in giving him a chance to play everyday and work out whatevers wrong with him. I wouldnt take the chance. Sadly, about the only thing that Konerko can do right now is be a bench-warmer.
  2. f*** YEA Cant wait to see him play in a sox uniform. imo Almonte and Ring wasnt that much to give, it coulda been worse (Cotts). But this trade greatly increases our chances to get to the playoffs and shows that Sox management IS trying to put up a winning product. Kudos to KW. And best of all, NO MORE DLO!!!
  3. Yeah I dont see why the hell the Marlins would want to make this deal cause it sure doesnt improve their team in any shape or form. Lots of teams are interested in speedsters like Pierre and Castillo, and trust me, they have a lot more to offer than those 3 bums. And keep in mind, the Marlins are over .500 and playing better baseball than us so they might be reluctant to even trade them at this point. I could see Dlo, Wright, and maybe another prospect for Castillo. But definately not Castillo AND Pierre.
  4. Loz will be fine. He isnt just having a lucky year, his stuff is definately improved. I heard that Sandy Alomar was the one that actually helped Loz perfect that great cut-fastball during spring training. Can anyone confirm this?
  5. 1) Who will win the series (CHW/MIN) (2 points)? MIN 2) Will Rick White allow an earned run (Y/N) (2 points)? FRANK 5) How many Sox players will have at least 4 hits in the series (5 points)? 2 6) How many strikeouts will Mark Buehrle have (5 points)? 5 7) How many bases will the Twins steal (4 points)? 4 8) Will any of the games be decided by one run (Y/N) (2 points)? YES 9) Who will have more hits, Torii Hunter or Sox centerfielders (2 points)? SOX CF 10) Will Danny Wright get his first win of the season (Y/N) (2 points)? No Tiebreaker: 28
  6. I added it. Is the new sig working?
  7. I'd much rather see Willie at 2nd than DLo. Agreed that Willie cannot hit, but do we have a 2nd baseman that CAN hit? DLo was just a one-month wonder and sucks defensively no matter where he plays. Willie is more sure-handed defensively and loves to play. He's one of the few on the team that knows how to bunt, and when he finally DOES get on-base, he can do alotta good things.
  8. And the Twins pull off with a come from behind win.
  9. What was great about the past two wins was HOW we won. What was heartbreaking about the loss to Minnesota and the loss in the last Cubs series was HOW we lost. Those last two wins against the Cubs were just amazing, and it completely gave me new hopes for the season. This was a great series overall, I'm not really upset over todays loss. It wasnt a typical White Sox heartbreaking loss where we blew the lead or didnt cash in on opportunities, Kerry just had our number and Loz just wasnt as dominant. We're still totally in this thing
  10. no one at the Cell questioned what was going to happen the entire 9th inning - everyone was on their feet - the scrubbie fans looking nervous and our fans just roaring - it was incredible - the only game simlar was the September 2000 game (Friday or Saturday before Labor Day as I recall) against Anaheim when we were down 8-3 in the 8th and won 9-8 - the crowd expected victory and almsot willed it to happen the best thing said about Sox fans today is hardly anyone left during the rain delay - even though we were trailing - the Cell was almost exactly as full when the game resumed as wehn it started - it was one of the best crowds in a long time, not just interms of size (I think 5th largest in history) but in spirit and attitude and support - it was great to be there and not have the negativity that sometimes gets on here - I never saw a crowd stay like that during a rain delay and I cannot describe the feeling when AR hit that homer - the upper deck was all on its feet for the entire 9th and it looked like the lower deck was too - just incredible atmosphere can't be described Very glad to hear that. Big home crowds can do wonders to a team.
  11. Whats sad about this whole thing is that we're still 2 games under .500 even after this amazing stretch. Shows how much we sucked right from the beginning, doesnt it? But I wont forget to mention that we're right back in this thing
  12. Aaron proved he should be the starting CF. If only this guy can come up with more hits like todays, he could be a HUGE part of our success. Jose deserved that game-winner yesterday for all his leadership. And "Crash" certainly deserved the game-tier today for his big heart and willingness to play.
  13. Play him tomorrow as a reward though.
  14. Hes not on it, YET. If I added just about all the players that had a game-tying homer against the scrubs, it'll take up the whole f***ing page. Rowands homer was big, but I gotta reserve room for ELITE Cubkillas like Lee, Jose, and Jenkins that does it game after game. I don't know, that homer was pretty f***ing huge. Coming in against a pitcher who was determined to shut us down and gain some confidence after it was shattered the day before on a long blast by Jose, only to be have a ball get hammered again. Ties the game and sets the stage for a big win. I figure you better reconsider the proposition before making up your mind. Tell ya what, one more big hit like that and he'll be on it no doubt.
  15. And I predicted Big Hurts homer in game one. Check the gamethread if you dont believe me. But I certainly hope your "vision" about tomorrow is correct.

  17. OK so I'll admit that I gave up watching the game after the rain delay. But these Sox came back fighting and kicked the scrubbies asses. Man these have got to be the two best games of the season so far.

I have to give credit to DLo for his hit today, but its still FAR from making up for all his mistakes. So he won the game for us today, but theres tons of games that he lost for us. Heres a quote from CBS:
  19. I dont think he'll be able to clear waivers. There must be teams out there looking at him. Hes still young, and he wasnt an AllStar last year for no reason. I'd say theres a number of teams out there that would take a chance with him. Meanwhile I guess he'll just have to rot on the bench.
  20. Man oh man. Back to back amazing wins. This better be the start of something good. We could easily have won 8 in a row by now. f***ING YES!
