  1. Good ole Rivals basketball rankings. John Riek #5 player in the nation. Just awesome stuff.
  2. How sad is it that the Heat are giving Anfernee Hardaway serious minutes? I almost yearn for Antoine Walker. Almost.
  3. It's not about missing games with injuries for Vince, it's about playing up his injuries so he looks to be always playing through pain. It's a similar syndrome to Chris Duhon's miraculous playing through his sore ribs in college. That combined with his on again off again dedication just has me tired of him, even as a lifelong UNC fan. He's a very good guy and is fun to watch, but he had the sky as the limit for his talent, and he just never put in time in the weightroom or dedication on the floor to reach it. I hate that.
  4. Pretty neat survey, 80 D-1 head coaches, http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/coll...3_survey08.html
  5. This Ohio State team reminds me a lot of the 2006 UNC team. UNC just had Sean May, Ray Felton, Rashad McCants, and Marvin Williams depart, and was led by a highly rated freshman big man Hansbrough(Koufos) and a senior leader David Noel(Jamar Butler). Granted, Hansbrough was special, even as a frosh, and David Noel was UNC's best leader since George Lynch in 1993, but I think Ohio State could suprise some people this year while they wait to reload next year like UNC did in 07.
  6. Vince Carter hurt again... http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=3106898 apparently broke his vagina.
  7. I'll never understand coach K. He could just about recruit anyone in the nation and he ends up with a Mid-major type team that has to rely on 3 pointers and "scrappy" defense to win games. Southern Illinois is already a better version of Duke and actually plays clean scrappy defense.
  8. http://mgoblog.blogspot.com/2007/11/carr-r...oming-next.html Carr retiring after OSU game. Sets the wheels in motion. LSU to Michigan is indeed a lateral move, but it's also Miles alma mater.
  9. Speaking of UM, we might have some fun coaching changes this offseason. If Carr is let go, you could see Les Miles at UM. You could see Tommy Tuberville at Texas A&M. It would also seem to make sense that you could see Steve Spurrier at LSU, that would be scary. You might also see Bobby Petrino come back from the pro game to coach Auburn. Then again you might see none of this.
  10. Adrian is always going to have injury problems because of his style.
  11. The Davidson game is on ESPN thankfully at 6 central time. Will be interesting to see who starts between Deon and Alex. Deon got some great minutes on the Olympic qualifyer team this offseason and has slimmed down tremendously. Alex is still a huge defensive type guy, but has apparently lost his rigid almost robotic type of play from last season. To bad we can't combine the two into one player.
  12. Thanks for the info, I really appreciate it. I'm not looking forward to an early season matchup with Davidson on Wednesday, that could be a doozy.
  13. Juice do you have the information from CarolinaBlue.com from ClintJackson's post about Cheek and Strickland? I'm dying to know what it is.
  14. It's hard to describe just how fat and lazy Mike Williams has become. He dropped a pass that could have won Oakland the game a few weeks ago and was cut right after, I couldn't help but smile. He doesn't deserve to be in the NFL with his work ethic. I'll never understand how these guys can be SO lazy that it costs them millions.
  15. Kentucky and UConn are both going to struggle big time this year. Gardner-Webb is better than people realize, but UK is just ugly and has no interior defense.
  16. My God I hate watching the Hawks play. I force myself to when I watch Marvin play, but it's disgusting. It's like watching an un-organized AAU team, which is really saying something. Is there a worse teammate than Josh Smith in the NBA? He's 5/12 tonight which is actually a good shooting day for him, and he still thinks he's Jordan. I would like to see an IQ test taken by him and a sack of bricks, would be a good contest. If they can trade away Smith, and AC Law proves to be an NBA PG they might really have something. Al Horford was a good pick, partially making up for Shelden Williams.
  17. I can't decide whether to go with a comment about Kobayashi being a competitive eater and a reliever, or go with a comment about us even going after 3rd rate Japanese talent as well.
  18. Colleen Dominguez. http://www.sidelinehotties.com/espn-babe-colleen-dominguez/
  19. lol, this is fun to watch, and I almost feel bad for Baltimore. Almost.
  20. If Duke goes... PG. Nolan Smith SG. Scheyer SF. Henderson PF. Singler C. Thomas that's a tough lineup. But instead they will go with... Paulus Scheyer Henderson Singler Zoubek and that lineup can't guard anything and will rely on 3's.
  21. 6'8 215 pound Lance Thomas getting several minutes at center is going to be a treat to see.
