  1. The Cardinals have proven to be a very scary offensive team. Like Minnesota, the Cubs have the Cardinals as their #1 division rival. The loss taken by the Cubs will dig an even deeper hole for the lovable losers. An 8-2 lead seems good enough for us Sox fans, but for Dusty Baker’s eye and everyone else’s, its just not enough. The red-hot birds managed to rally back big time. And they wouldn’t be able to do it without Albert Pujols who hit 3 home runs in one single game. The Cubs are still trying to get whole. Glendon Rusch, subbing for Mark Prior in the rotation, gave up five runs on six hits and one walk over five-plus innings. He struck out six and was in line for the win. The Cardinals have done this to the Cubs before. On July 28, 2002, St. Louis rallied from a six-run deficit to beat Chicago, 10-9, at Busch Stadium. Albert Pujols went 5-for-5 with three home runs, including a two-run blast in the ninth inning, to power the St. Louis Cardinals to an 11-8 come-from-behind victory over the Chicago Cubs on Tuesday. So Cubs don’t even try to go for the Wild Card because you’re not going to get it the way your bullpen has pitched. Last year was your year, but you chocked and f***ed up big time.
  2. One helluva day can only be described this way: White Sox winner Twins loser and Cubs loser
  3. Dude, get the hell out of here if you’re going to suck the fun out of everything.
  4. If the Cubs can’t manage to beat the Cards, than they’re not going anywhere! Anywhere!!!! HERE ME ROAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. Bases loaded. This guy f***ing sucks!!!!!
  6. 1st and 2nd for the Cubs. This Cardinal closer sucks.
  7. Damn... a walk. Though a DP would be real nice.
  8. I don't know if anyone has noticed, but most Cub fans have left Wrigley. They are seriously tired of this s***. Us Sox fans are enjoying it.
  9. Sorry to say this guys, but Cardinals is my 2nd favorite team!
  10. I’m glad to see that Jose wants to stick around. He has been a favorite of mine because of the way he plays. He’s a great SS with some very good power and it would be sad to see him leave. I’m pretty sure KW will give him a good offer.
  11. I really haven’t thought about it since yesterday’s BIG win was always in my head. He is scheduled to come back late in the season so Ozzie will have tons of time to think about it.
  12. Blow up Wrigley Field! There is no room for 2 baseball teams here in Chicago.
  13. I really think something will happen. The Cubs lose and they’ll be 10 games back. Sammy will give every Cub player and himself a cork bat and start going nuts. This is baseball, Cubbies. Live with it!
  14. Damn Cubs fan must have been tired of seeing the Cubs lose so much so he decided to see the Sox win
  15. Did you see any White Sox fans around you? Because the television showed a lot of Sox fans in attendance
  16. Pitching matchup CWS: RHP Jon Garland 7-6, 4.38 ERA in 2004 Has not faced TEX in 2004 1-4, 5.97 ERA lifetime vs. TEX TEX: RHP John Wasdin 1-1, 7.33 in 2004 Has not faced CWS in 2004 0-2, 6.51 ERA lifetime vs. CWS You're 8th victory is right around the corner, Garland.
  17. I like the trade, but I don’t like the way people talk about Jon Rauch. I won’t forget that the man gave us a desperate win in that 5th starter slot and I thank him for that. People say he may or may not be a real SP, but who knows. I wish him luck of course (and the other guy) and hope they have a good future ahead of them. Welcome to Chicago Carl.
  18. I came up with it once that HR left the park But feel free to use it
  19. Another hit! These hits will raise the White Sox batting average for good.
  20. Aaron is 3-3 And wasn’t there a thread saying that Aaron should go for Randy Johnson? I honestly like Aaron and think he should stick around for some time.
  21. Hey... there’s a White Sox crew!
