Our pitching is a lot better then before. It’s just that some of the starting pitchers do well and later do bad. It seems like Loaiza has two personalities. There’s the one where he allows only 1 run in 8 innings (Sox vs. Marlins) and there’s the Esteban that allows 6 runs in one inning (Indians vs. Sox).
The only two guys that I can rely on at the moment are Garcia and Buehrle. And there’s also the offense, which can be very streaky. A good example is scoring 15 runs in one night and the next day they score only 2.
IMO we don’t deserve to be in 1st place because of the problems we have encountered. I thank Kansas City for having more offense than the Sox. We are in 1st place by just half a game and not many games above .500, which isn’t good at all.
But I’m pretty sure you do not love the White Sox losing 3 out of 4 to the A’s.
Call me when the Cubs are 12 games behind because by that time I’ll bring out the champagne
Last year when Loaiza was ahead of the count, he knew what kind of out he should get and that was a strikeout. Today he had that 1-2 count which was in favor of him. What he used to do is throw those UN hittable pitches which turned out to be strikeouts. Now you don’t see that. That’s why the strikeouts are low and the hits allowed are high.
I am starting to look at Aaron Rowand just like Miguel Olivo. Both of them have been very underrated players. They don’t need all the media and buzz to show that they are good players both on the field and off. Aaron Rowand hit his what... 9th or 10th home run this afternoon? He’s a young guy and has been excellent in center field. If we ever do come to the conclusion that Rowand leaves the team because he was traded for another, I will be upset. Just as upset when Big Mo left.
Every White Sox pitcher stepped up and did fabulous.
The final out was ugly. Shingo could have found himself in the DL if it weren’t for his glove, but he earned his 6th save.
Shingo Time is here to stay!
