  5. QUOTE (whitesoxjr27 @ Oct 7, 2015 -> 04:23 PM) I agree. Sick of the maddon and Theo love. Win a series first before bragging 24/7 What's up jr? Haven't seen you on in forever man. Re:maddon, I really think his tenure is going to end up being short lived. He's going to get the trestman treatment the second anything goes wrong.
  6. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 7, 2015 -> 09:06 AM) KD didnt attack him, he just said SAS is a liar because he isnt getting his info from anyone around KD. SAS laid out a list of teams that KD is going to as if he heard it from KD He didn't though. “Regardless of how senseless it may (sound), in one breath I’m hearing that if Kevin Durant doesn’t stay in Oklahoma City, L.A. is his primary objective and landing spot as opposed to South Beach or even his home of Washington, D.C.,” Smith said. That's all he said. Stephen a smith has been covering the nba for ages. I'm sure someone probably did tell him that, because the whole nba is talking about it. He didn't say it came from kd's camp even. There's plenty of whispers about where kd will land around the league and has been for years. This wasn't even a bad one, as it infers he probably stays in okc
  7. Stephen A's first comment was absolutely fine. No idea why kd wanted to attack him for that. But yeah the rebuttal...haha
  8. Dirty ass slide by gregarious
  9. Moving to wrigleyville has made me hate cubs and their fans exponentially more.
  10. Chris Archer is so much better than Kruk and Jessica Mendoza. They should keep him on.
  11. Time to warm someone up yankees
  12. Tanaka throwing meat
  13. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 6, 2015 -> 03:12 PM) The Blackhawks have road teams making rules to keep their fans out of opposing stadiums. I don't know that I have heard that one before. Yeah they travel well for playoffs and to places like Nashville. It's more of a shot against the nhl. Kris Bryant for example, a rookie of just a couple months, is more known nationally than Patrick Kane, the most popular player on a 3 time Stanley winning team. You just wouldn't get that idea in Chicago, but that could change soon. That was my point
  14. QUOTE (fathom @ Oct 6, 2015 -> 02:49 PM) To his credit, not living in the Chicagoland area right now might make it hard to realize just how crazy the Cubs bandwagon is now (as well as how dead the Sox are). He's a very smart poster though, so I'm sure he knows. Fair. I guess on the flipside the blackhawks are basically a complete non-entity outside Chicago, which would be hard for use to imagine. But yeah you don't have to look farther then them to see what winning does to fanbases. Fans are crawling out of the woodwork and it's only going to get worse if the Cubs keep winning.
  15. Yeah sorry but that's an awful post. The cubs directly impact our fanbase. Can't believe anyone would deny that. You don't have to hate the cubs or anything but don't deny reality either.
  16. Stone is a great analyst. He should stay there.
  17. QUOTE (bmags @ Oct 6, 2015 -> 08:48 AM) Honestly this kind of terrifies me. For all we talk about wanting Reinsdorf to step down, I think it's more likely we find an owner try to buy that wants to move us than one that brings in a great new baseball system. It would be a 28-2 vote turning that move down so it would never happen
  18. If the sox are ditching rongey and leaving him at the score, I'd highly doubt he'd be the tv replacement.
  19. QUOTE (knightni @ Oct 6, 2015 -> 07:06 AM) The Giants and Dodgers were in New York for almost 75 years and got moved. TV markets also weren't much of a thing back then. MLB would never move a team with the massive tv market of chicago.
  20. He's 21 and 15. Hardly a disaster as coach, though his roster control might be.
  21. Frazier would totally suck on the Sox.
  22. As long as they're okay with never attracting an american free agent
  23. QUOTE (bmags @ Oct 5, 2015 -> 01:02 PM) Please...no rongey. What's his deal? I heard him at the end of his show saturday (literally last two minutes) sounded like he was signing off for good. Thanking his parents for all the support, saying the show had a good run the last 10 years etc etc. He's definitely leaving something, but since I caught so little wasn't sure if it was 670 to the new station, the sox, or both.
  24. We should put a call into Brian Barnhardt. He does play by play for University of Illinois basketball and football. Currently my favorite play by play guy in all of sports and as good a radio voice as you'll ever hear. He was the Angels play by play guy back in the late 90s before wanting to move back with his family to Champaign. Don't think Chicago and a part time schedule would be much of an issue. We will probably go in house unfortunately though.
  25. Ugh terrible. Can't wait til people get what they wish for and we get f***ing Chuck Swirsky. Ugh
