  1. QUOTE (iamshack @ Mar 25, 2010 -> 10:03 PM) I'm not sure how you "play the blame game on her" but don't come off as controlling? I don't know if controlling was the right word, but basically I'm gonna avoid directly attacking him to avoid coming off sounding jealous or something. I'm just going to say she's the one at fault here for contacting him back, no matter how minor it was. And if that is controlling, I don't mean it to sound like it is. She's one of those that has mostly friends who are boys. I think that may be hard for some to get along with, but I've never really had a problem with it. So I figure one exception isn't too much.
  2. Oh and thanks for the replies everyone I've been meaning to get to specific responses but my powers out so I'm posting from my phone. Anyways I decided to confront her about it. I texted her and am awaiting a phone calll shortly. Basically I'm gonna play the blame game on her. I guess that sounds bad but I don't want to come off as controlling. I'm basically gonna say oh I just couldn't believe a person like you would give a scumbag like him the satisfaction af any sort of response and go from there. I'm pretty certain she's just doing this to try and make me feel jealous or something, so I figure ill just turn it on her and make her feel bad for treatting me like that.
  3. Oh, she knows about it. It was just a weird situation
  4. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 25, 2010 -> 05:31 PM) And if she cheats, make sure you f*** her best friend before you break up. I've actually already did that when we were in the beginning stages of hooking up. Whoops
  5. QUOTE (fathom @ Mar 25, 2010 -> 02:49 AM) Keller is that he's just a huge cancer in the locker room. He is...
  6. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Mar 24, 2010 -> 03:52 PM) How long was she with said guy? Guys do this a lot (so do girls), but you've been together 6 months so saying the above is more than appropriate. I should mention that I am just her 2nd boyfriend. Her first was of 2-3 years, but is well off the map now. The kid in question here was just some guy she basically hooked-up with out of confusion coming immediately after her long-term relationship. Didn't know her at the time. But I guess that's why I have a problem with it, he's a scumbag, but I don't know how to go about saying that.
  7. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Mar 24, 2010 -> 12:21 PM) how long have you and your girlfriend been together? Septemberish.
  8. Girlfriend told me. She responds to him with just general stuff. When I say creeping, I mean he's not saying anything over-the-top. Just general stuff, but I can tell he's trying to make good with her again.
  9. So my girlfriend's ex hook-up is trying to creep on her again. Not that I see him as some sort of threat (he's dumb as box of rocks and going nowhere in life), it still pisses me off for whatever reason. I don't know the kid personally, so do I say nothing, something to the gf that I'm not happy, or somehow say something to him. I don't know why, but I was really bothered that this came up.
  10. So fathom Ga Tech seems like they're trying to pawn off Hewitt on SJU.
  11. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Mar 22, 2010 -> 01:06 AM) I also don't think you can just say the Big 10 is by far the best because Michigan State won two games at the buzzer and Purdue eeked past a bleh A&M team, along with the fact that the Big 10 only got 5 teams in the tournament. If we're going to punish leagues for being good enough to get 7 and 8 teams in, then yes the Big 10 has been the best by far. But I find that to be silly, and you still can't just ignore Wisconsin's embarrassing performance today. The Big Ten more or less did what they should have done, aside from Wisconsin, but with MSU and Purdue perhaps advancing a game farther than they should. As I said, it really wasn't their performance though. The rest of the major conferences have been basically terrible all around. And yes, conferences like the Big East should absolutely be punished for getting embarrassed when their top seed line was 1, 2, 2, 3, 3, 6, 6, and 9 and can't even get 3 teams into the second weekend.
  12. QUOTE (fathom @ Mar 22, 2010 -> 12:59 AM) Kentucky, Cornell, and Duke were clearly the 3 most impressive teams this weekend. I love the line by draftexpress about how it's the battle of the future lottery picks against their future financial consultants. With the game being in Syracuse, everyone besides Kentucky fans will be cheering for Cornell. Duke only beat up on terrible, terrible Cal team. Of course, Wake is terrible too, but when you beat a team by 30 as talented as them, well, it's impressive.
  13. QUOTE (danman31 @ Mar 22, 2010 -> 12:59 AM) I'm missing something, did Wisconsin win? Big 12 has 3 sweet 16 teams as well. Kansas' and A&M's losses were bad, but the Big Ten has just played to seed. Can't say by far the best. No, by far the best but mainly because everyone else was terrible. Not sure where you get that the Big 12 has 3 teams? Anyways: Big Ten: 7-2, .778 SEC: 4-2, .667 Big 12: 7-5, .583 Big East: 6-6, .500 ACC: 5-5, .500 MWC: 2-4, .333
  14. Big Ten was by far the best conference this weekend. It was a terrible performance all around though from everyone else.
  15. 4 Naismith finalists... Evan Turner John Wall Wesley Johnson AND Sherron Collins LOL
  16. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Mar 21, 2010 -> 06:11 AM) Villanova being a #2 was. Oh for sure. Tennessee, when they were a 2 a few years back was worse, but other than that the worst 2 I can remember.
  17. Yeah, actually the slower paced teams have done very well for themselves this tourney. Unadjusted/Adjusted Pace-Tempo rating out of 347: Cornell 259/241 Ohio State 284/243 Butler 289/277 WVU 294/308 ODU 317/304 Pitt 321/323 Wisconsin 342/341 and finally: UNI 345/342 Cornell knew what they were doing. Going against one of the 7 teams in the tourney actually slower than them, speeding the game up worked wonders.
  18. Cornell plays at an extremely slow pace. They won't play fast against Kentucky. They are near the top of d1 in term of offensive efficiency, which is what of course makes them so dangerous.
  19. Pretty much deadon with my picks thus far. 98.0 percentile on ESPN.
  20. Villanvoa was statistically one of the worst 2 seeds of all-time. They really lived up to it.
  21. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Mar 20, 2010 -> 03:32 AM) But at some point you need to actually produce and while he has had a decent season his production doesn't come close to mentioning the hype. Well, to be fair, no one on WY really has been able to produce any sort of big numbers in recent years considering they basically have like 5-8 D1 players on their roster at any given time.
  22. QUOTE (danman31 @ Mar 20, 2010 -> 02:47 AM) You completely missed the point of what I said. A team's performance in the tournament does not prove or disprove whether they belonged or not. Well, you're wrong on that. It doesn't change what the SC should have done (but they got it wrong to begin with), but rather in this particular case just confirms they could not hang with tough competition that they basically never bothered to play against in the regular season.
  23. QUOTE (danman31 @ Mar 20, 2010 -> 12:43 AM) Their selection was based on what they accomplished before the tourney, not based on what they could do in it. Well no duh. It just confirmed that they didn't belong to begin with.
