  1. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Jul 9, 2006 -> 05:12 PM) I love it when you analyze. He's on the DL. Thank you. However, as Clement pitches for Boston and they can pretty much do whatever the hell they want to, he can come in the game if this is advantageous to the Sawx.
  2. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jul 9, 2006 -> 05:09 PM) I thought the same thing on the first pitch. Well, that's a relief. Follow this logic: David Ortiz has a perfect batting eye; hencefore, he will never swing out of the strike-zone. Thus, via contripositive, should Ortiz not swing at a ball, it must be out of the strike-zone, otherwise this would contridict the premise of his perfect batting eye. Hencewidth, there can be no strike on Ortiz without him swinging.
  3. 14th inning HR off an ugly-ass reliver, remind any one of anything?
  4. QUOTE(TitoMB345 @ Jul 9, 2006 -> 12:42 PM) Nice calls. No, I will not stop b****ing. strike 2 was about 6 inches outside
  5. hey Alex, remember when you won the World Series?
  6. QUOTE(ViperPilot @ Jul 9, 2006 -> 11:59 AM) Contreras is due for a loss, don't you think? Just sayin'......... you sure are due for an ass-kicking! and where's the bikini photo?
  7. QUOTE(ViperPilot @ Jul 8, 2006 -> 08:53 PM) I assure you, they are.......doesn't mean I won't throw some crap your way, but it won't be in poor taste or demeaning..... You should be aware that we have a rookie hazing policy. In order to post anything close to poor taste or demeaning, we'll need a picture of you in a sexy bikini. Unless of course, that would be in poor taste or demeaning.
  8. QUOTE(Benchwarmerjim @ Jul 8, 2006 -> 07:58 PM) with 7 IP tonight, Liriano again qualifies to be on the ERA leaderboard (he fell off the board during the week) he also passed 100 strikeouts for the season yeah, but where would he play on the Sox?
  9. I agree with the contention that 2003 was not a terribly good team and that 2006 is vastly superior. I think that 2003 is overrated in a lot of minds here. That team had some great talent, but I don't think every really was a true threat to win the World Series or even make the play-offs. If you want to make a comparison of '06, I would do this one, but hear me out before you reply. 2006 White Sox : 2005 White Sox :: 2005 Red Sox : 2004 Red Sox. The later editions of both teams had a lot of expectations after winning the World Series, both had big rotation issues, and neither seemed to have the pen nailed down for a long stretch. That said, we should take the 2006 Red Sox as encouragement. Moves can be made to really solidify this team this coming off season and make it a real power.
