Nightengale was on the Score today and basically said the Sox went with Eaton over Brantley in order to try and afford Hendriks. Nothing we don’t already know but good to hear further confirmation they still are pursuing him.

Yeah even if a lot of these trades don’t work out, he should still have the best left side of the infield in baseball for the next 5 years or so.

I absolutely love how the Padres did this all by using their 6-20 prospects. I’ve always thought the top guys are way more vital than the depth guys.
