Yes his hit tool is horrible. He’s got the power and a good eye, but he seems like someone that would struggle to hit over .225 in the majors.

There’s not a ton of LHP in the division. Last year, roughly 1/3 of their games were against LHP. Grandal will obviously DH some, but there’s no reason to run him into the ground by giving him no days off like they did McCann last year.

If you get a quality DH like EE, it allows you to play Engel in RF. I actually think finding a strong DH bat vs RHP is what they need the most.
