They’re major leaguers because they’re supposed to be able to pick up spin. For the last week, they look like minor leaguers who have never seen a decent breaking pitch.

Robert is barely putting any effort into swinging the bat. That was an 0-2 swing on a 1-0 pitch.

Honestly his fastball looks more like 2018 than 2019.

Mendick and Leury have done a great job, but this team was always one lefty utility bat short. Sadly, the Sox went cheap and then also favored Delmonico.

This is where injuries/lack of depth is killing them. You can’t expect Mendick to hit this guy.
