  1. Routine grounder to SS he beat out due to infielder taking his time
  2. Really think they should just call him up. Not sure how much he’s going to develop in AAA maxing out around 85 pitches per game.
  3. Great turn. Yolmer having great game
  4. Lots of frustration in dugout. Seemed pissed he was pulled
  5. Yonder with a weak groundout on 3-1 pitch. What a veteran at bat.
  6. Keep playing him until he plays himself out of baseball
  7. But Abrams is very raw. Witt is someone that is much more advanced. I see Abrams as someone that’s going to need to tweak a lot to unleash his potential, and I don’t think the Sox are a good organization to do this.
  8. So you bunt the runners over, and now you’ve taken the bat out of the hands of your hottest hitter who will surely be walked to set up another double play situation
  9. Not one of them projects as everyday starter. By no means would any of them block Vaughn.
  10. Maybe that was the “surprise” he was talking about happening this season. Lucky for him he seems like a great guy, as he would be impossible to cheer for if not.
  11. Yeah not really sure what they have to lose anymore.
  12. He’s on the DL after doubling as a pitching machine
  13. Because outside of Cease, they have no one close to ready that’s decent? It’s acually amazing how little pitching depth they have.
  14. Covey only throwing 92 doesn’t even get AAA hitters out. He either needs to be an opener or a reliever. He’s not a legit starter.
  15. You really trust the Sox to develop a raw high schooler? The fact he projects to have minimal power doesn’t excite me in connection to Madrigal. However, biggest reason I want Vaughn or Adley is the Sox need immediate help for the core guys in the next few years due to the free agency failures.
  16. Don’t want Abrams for numerous reasons, but it sure seems he’s their guy
  17. Exactly and if he’s not going to be stealing bases, then all of the value of his bat is being negated
  18. Robert the anti-Votto tonight (4 infield pop ups). Better than a strikeout
  19. Something that jumped out to me when thinking about the Sox trying to trade prospects for big league talent possibly in the upcoming offseason is that they don’t really have much in the way of non-essential trade chips. Cease, Madrigal, Robert and let’s say Vaughn all have paths to the big league team. Besides those 4, who really has significant trade value?
  20. Also, there’s no excuse for the pitching to be as bad as it has been considering all the games against bad hitting teams. Twins are going to tee off on these pitchers.
