The other guys would have cost more in terms of salary and/or assets. They still have tons of flexibility to go after Bryce or Kluber.

Today’s moves actually make me think Dodgers are in on Bryce. Martin is a cheaper alternative than Cervelli and Realmuto, and they were also long rumored to like LeMahieu

Yes

I think if the Sox are dead set on moving Yoan to 3rd, then it makes sense. It’s not ideal, but it also gives them the best chance to fit Madrigal on the roster next year.
