Another reason drafting Singer isn't a horrible idea. You never know how pitching prospects will pan out, especially low floor high ceiling guys like Kopech, Lopez and Hansen.
IIRC, someone asked Hostetler about not drafting high schoolers. He made mention of focusing on one in 2nd round last year but guy went before Sheets. Someone on here saw Seise got same bonus as Sheets.
If you told me Singer is a number 3 starter in the majors, I'd say sign me up now. If this year has shown us anything, it's that projecting young starting pitching is very difficult.
Here's my concern though, at least from the first hit I saw....it was very soft and not the type of swing that impresses. There's no doubt his hand-eye coordination is incredible.
