  1. Hopefully his command improves during the 2nd half. It's been atrocious this year.
  2. Well, the Heyman segment was awesome
  3. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Jul 21, 2015 -> 12:49 AM) I've said it before, but Micah needs to be called up as soon as Shark is traded. It would give him a good two months in the majors to prove whether or not his defense has progressed to the "passable" level. If so, I think you can safely count on him as your 2B heading into 2016, as the bat will translate well to the majors IMO. Agreed, time to get him some much needed MLB at bats
  4. Isn't this just following the same path Johnson's always taken? Go to one level and do solid, not great. Repeat the level and dominate. Offensively, he has little left to prove in AAA.
  5. Johnson/Coats/Davidson all homer in the 1st
  6. Arrieta pitching like an ace since the middle of June. He's going to destroy these weak-hitting teams they face quite often during the 2nd half.
  7. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Jul 19, 2015 -> 10:26 PM) Hell, if he hits good over the next two months, you might as well give him the SS position for next year while buying out Alexei's option. That would be ideal, as it would allow you to use that money to find a new 3rd baseman or possibly catcher.
  8. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 19, 2015 -> 09:54 PM) The irony is that we're tied for the 9th pick in the first round. We can't even lose in a beneficial way. Purgatory. If they trade Samardzija and start giving some of the younger guys more at bats, they'll rack up the losses with their killer schedule the rest of the way.
  9. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 19, 2015 -> 10:30 PM) Giants starting to apply some pressure to the Cubs from below. Mets need another bat or two...in the same situation, almost, arrived on the scene a year early. Pirates have a tough schedule in the 2nd half, and they just started off the half with a horrible sweep at Milwaukee. The Pirates need a few bats, as Pedro Alvarez, Mercer and Polanco are brutal.
  10. QUOTE (Baron @ Jul 19, 2015 -> 10:30 PM) Great time to sell. Sox fans were lead to believe that we would be competing for a playoff spot this season. Now we have to rely on the same general manager with the same book of excuses? I'm sorry but when you come out of a rebuild and screw up your on a short leash. What is he going to do this time? Ask us to be patient with another 2-3 years of crap baseball? Just like with Phil Emery and Marc Trestman last year. You start talking about competing you better get it done. There's no where to hide if you dont. Hahn's gotten a free pass for a terrible offseason (in terms of results on the field). He needs to win a few of these big trades going forward, as so far he doesn't have a lot to show at the big league level besides Eaton/Avi.
  11. This team might end up with no one hitting 20 homers
  12. Fitting, what a terrible team.
  13. Abreu has no bat speed right now
  14. Was he actually out?
  15. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Jul 19, 2015 -> 08:27 PM) sell sell sell sell sell sell sell sell sell sell sell sell Absolutely
  16. Eaton with a horrible read on that. This is quite a pathetic performance
  17. This season is just about over sadly
  18. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 19, 2015 -> 08:11 PM) So far this series Abreu 1/13 with 2 walks. He looks nowhere near 100 pct running
  19. Booing has started
  20. QUOTE (South Side Fireworks Man @ Jul 19, 2015 -> 07:36 PM) Robin and staff always has this team prepared like this. Sale backed up the catcher on next play
  21. Team seems flat. Sale forgot to back up home there
  22. LaRoche playing, no Soto at DH
  23. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 19, 2015 -> 07:33 AM) I'm really down on Robin after today's game and this series. You guys that despise Ozzie ... he never would be this laid back in search of getting back in the race. Robin doesn't pitch Robertson. WTF with that? Four innings to Jennings? Robin basically conceded ANOTHER game. No urgency with this guy or this team. Letting Jennings pitch another inning was suicide for the White Sox team on Saturday. Robin also pitches Danks and Shark in the DH instead of Sale/Shark. No sense of urgency to tell the Royals "for once we are going to f***ing kick your ass." They save Sale for "another day." Very sad. This team has no competitiveness and it starts with Robin. You guys asked to get rid of one guy who would go down screaming/fighting/clawing if the Royals came to town and he was in charge: Ozwald Guillen!!!! Danks was just awful on Friday. He really came close to giving up a run.
  24. Hopefully he goes to a team that has Moises Sierra so their bromance can continue
  25. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Jul 19, 2015 -> 04:39 AM) This sounds hard for you. You hate Gillaspie and Beckham. I wish neither guy were on the team. I think Davidson probably sucks but I'd like to see: Davidson 3B, Saladino SS, Johnson 2B, and Abreu 1B. I was all for Davidson getting a shot a month ago, but he's hit ANOTHER rough patch. He even made two errors tonight. He'll probably be with another team come next year repeating AAA for a 4th season.
