  1. Going to leapfrog the Cubs tonight. Also, closing the gap on the Astros.
  2. QUOTE (1dog @ Sep 4, 2014 -> 02:45 AM) We don't really have more than a handful of good pitchers in the entire organization. Embarrassing. The wave of guys close to the majors that have been in the system 3-4 years now is horrible. Thankfully, the guys that have been acquired in the last year (Rodon, Montas, Danish, Adams) look like the real deal. Hahn's going to have to pay a ton of money to fill the pitching holes until the younger wave is ready.
  3. Wow, quite the debut for Snodgress
  4. QUOTE (Jake @ Sep 4, 2014 -> 02:18 AM) Soler figures to be the best of the bunch. Baez looking more like late-career Soriano than peak. Bryant will be better than Soler, but that doesn't mean both won't be well above average players.
  5. Not really sure why Lindstrom's getting innings right now. Still shocked they didn't unload him for a bag of baseballs on 8/31. Danks ERA up to 5.12. It would be great if they can unload him this offseason and pay maybe half his remaining salary.
  6. Tank is crushing the ball of late.
  7. Wow, I guess they don't throw offspeed pitches in AAA
  8. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Sep 4, 2014 -> 01:36 AM) John Danks is f***ing awful and has been since he got injured. It sucks but that is reality. Anyone banking on him ever being a decent starting pitcher again is doing so based on blind hope. Yep, his performance since signing the extension has been horrendous.
  9. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 3, 2014 -> 03:33 AM) I tell u one thing: A Viciedo highlight film put together by the Sox staff would be impressive. One of those that shows only his bombs. Same with Flowers. We know they both have made a million outs; I'm just saying they have some impressive highlights. So would Dunn
  10. Stoney is just terrible at play by play
  11. QUOTE (Tannerfan @ Sep 3, 2014 -> 03:29 AM) Did Hawk go back to the hotel? He went to call Beckham to console him after their loss to the Astros
  12. Taylor smoked that, heck of a play by Santana out there
  13. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Sep 3, 2014 -> 03:24 AM) It'd be nice for a newbie to get a gw hit. Is Viciedo a newbie?
  14. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Sep 3, 2014 -> 03:24 AM) It'd be nice for a newbie to get a gw hit. Let Wilkins hit for PK
  15. This home plate umpire isn't very good, it seems
  16. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 3, 2014 -> 04:09 AM) That's still scary. I guess he'll be more of the dreaded utility guy. Actually, he's the perfect back-up middle infielder, especially if Johnson is the 2nd baseman
  17. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 3, 2014 -> 04:05 AM) Damn. I had liked what I've seen. Slap hitters disturb me. He's not an extreme slappy guy like Pierre is, but he has 10 career homers in 1860 minor league ABs.
  18. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 3, 2014 -> 04:02 AM) I like Sanchez's aggressiveness. Another nice base hit. I really like what I've seen, especially compared to Gordo. You guys agree Sanchez looks like he has a lively bat?? He does not have a lively bat at all. He does a good job of making contact, but he's pretty much a slap hitter.
  19. This game was more exciting when Milone was in for the Twins.
  20. Against RHP, they have to teach Avi to prevent his body from collapsing prior to making contact. Kinda reminds me of Crede's old two strike swing.
  21. Beautiful double by Avi. Not only that, he picked up the 3rd base coach!
  22. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Sep 3, 2014 -> 01:00 AM) I wonder whose is stringer between him and Eaton, especially with Sanchez putting on weight this year. What's crazy is that Eaton hit a homer in the first month, and he really didn't come all that close to hitting another homer the rest of the way. However, he does a good job of pulling the ball down the line for an easy triple.
  23. Noesi seems to throw everything hard. He needs to find a slower breaking pitch to keep hitters off-balanced.
  24. Sanchez hit that ball pretty far as well
