All you have to know about Paul Konerko's confidence in his ability this year is that he was trying to jam himself to hit a single in a tie game in the top of the 9th with none on, 1 out.

The Sox desperately need some of these young guys to turn into above average players. Sadly, we all know how awful the organization has been for over a decade in developing offensive players.

But he's putting his foot down for the long haul showing he's not a GM who just throws players out the door. He wants something good in return even if the said players are sucking balls this season. Think about it, he could have traded several disappointing players. He didn't. My guess is because he was handicapped in not being able to send any money to those teams and the fact he was offered NON-prospects, not viable prospects, in return. Hahn is no easy mark for other GMs, even when it is debatable how good our trade chips are (were). This might be your best post ever!
