  1. Viciedo is such a stud right now.
  2. So wait, there was no truth to Konerko, Santiago and Crain for Goldschmidt and Callaspo?
  3. QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ May 21, 2013 -> 02:43 AM) They'll just keep busting him in. Time to talk to big Frank. About post-professional baseball career announcing?
  4. QUOTE (Jake @ May 21, 2013 -> 02:42 AM) Right, I propose that change because it is the simplest tweak to speed up his bat. Most MLBers straight up can't do that ever, let alone at 37. Yep, well said.
  5. QUOTE (Jake @ May 21, 2013 -> 02:39 AM) There's a simple swing fix he needs to try, quit pointing the bat at the pitcher The problem is he keeps trying to change things up with his swing in order to make up for the lack of bat speed.
  6. QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ May 21, 2013 -> 02:38 AM) Thanks for the pouty memories PK... Please, please don't let the rest of this season be this way for Konerko. I definitely want him to go out on a good note.
  7. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ May 21, 2013 -> 02:36 AM) No DP for the love of god. He's just awful. The team would be better if they flipped him and Viciedo in the lineup vs LHP.
  8. QUOTE (bbilek1 @ May 21, 2013 -> 01:17 AM) I've seen it as "plus" and "below-average." All scouting reports are saying he has great hands and foot work. I've also seen him listed above-average at 3B or 2B and just about average at SS. I really think because he really lacks power and is only an average defender at SS makes scouts slot him a 2B. Basically, I think he could give you average - maybe a tick below - defense with an offensive game that is a no power single hitter. But could still hit .270-.300. If he ever does start I can't really imagine him being much more than an 8th or 9th best player in the lineup. Good summary. Sanchez has been a huge disappointment so far this season in my opinion, as his main tool (hitting) has been non-existent. He's going to have to hit in the .280-.300 range in the majors for make up for his lack of power.
  9. QUOTE (Soxfest @ May 21, 2013 -> 02:16 AM) Good comeback inning for DA. Indeed, huge double play vs Ortiz
  10. Surprised that the crowd isn't bigger tonight with the Red Sox in town and nice weather out.
  11. Alexei made that look easy
  12. Just got home, I see I was correct again about the lineup. How's the crowd?
  13. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 20, 2013 -> 11:48 PM) He is playing SS tonight for Charlotte. Awesome!
  14. Dunn should have gotten the night off, as he's been destroyed by LHP this year (.069). I'm surprised Beckham's not up yet.
  15. QUOTE (flavum @ May 20, 2013 -> 09:26 PM) Indians have a good offense, and they've got a couple good starters this year so far in Masterson and McAllister. They have a good bullpen, but they've had hiccups just like most teams. If the Sox end up trading Peavy and a couple of the bullpen arms, I wouldn't exclude the Tigers and Indians from the bidding. Not a lot in the Tigers/Indians system outside of their big name prospect.
  16. Not a good start for Snodgress. His numbers aren't good so far this year, but I feel like he's been in a slow starter in recent seasons.
  17. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 19, 2013 -> 11:03 PM) At least it's not a shutout agreed
  18. All the momentum from this week in danger of being for nothing if this score holds and then the awful match-up tomorrow night.
  19. Sox hitters missing a ton of changeups the last two games.
  20. How much did Scioscia pay the Sox for the last two games?
  21. Who the hell is calling for these full count breaking pitches?
  22. Too many walks the last two games.
  23. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 19, 2013 -> 09:35 PM) The problem remains...it ain't just him. Rios had a great stop on that Aybar hit but then missed the cutoff man, second run probably is held at third if he hits him. Funny thing is Rios gets an assist for that
  24. QUOTE (Soxfest @ May 19, 2013 -> 09:33 PM) De Aza gets a pass way more than he should for his bad lapses. The love child of Carlos Lee and Starlin Castro
  25. Sox letting the bottom of the Angels lineup do way too much damage.
