  1. Please be no big deal
  2. QUOTE (Heads22 @ May 22, 2013 -> 12:31 AM) Left posterior shoulder tendonitis. YUCK!
  3. Beckham's playing SS again today with Angel Sanchez at 2B.
  4. The starting pitchers for the Cubs might have substantially more RBIs this month than Konerko does
  5. QUOTE (Jerksticks @ May 21, 2013 -> 10:29 PM) What do we do if Danks can't get anybody out after say 5 starts? DL him and put Santiago back into the rotation.
  6. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 21, 2013 -> 10:17 PM) By costing the team games in the mean time. Which they might be doing by pitching Danks in the majors right now Again, putting Santiago into the bullpen wouldn't shock me at all, especially given what Cooper said about him a few weeks ago.
  7. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 21, 2013 -> 10:15 PM) If there isn't anyone to get the ball from Santiago to the set up man, it doesn't matter how good he is. But then one would argue that he needs to get more experience as a starter in order to work on limiting his pitches per inning, etc.
  8. Funny thing is I don't think you get Goldschmidt for Sale right now (Arizona has quite the stable of stud LHP).
  9. I'll be stunned in a positive way if Santiago remains in the rotation and Axelrod goes to the bullpen. With that said, no reason to get too upset if Santiago goes to the pen as I'm sure he'll be back into the rotation later in the year. I definitely don't think Danks is a better pitcher than Santiago now, but I understand why you have to see what he has.
  10. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ May 21, 2013 -> 08:28 PM) I would just have Danks keep rehabbing the arm until it is absolutely necessary to bring him up. Use a 6-man rotation if you have to. Skip guys when necessary. Keeping Danks away from starting in games is a bad thing, but the Sox (could potentially) have 6 good starters, and you should maximize that value. You won't get that with one of them in long relief. And it seems pretty unlikely that Danks will give you better numbers over the next month than anyone in the current rotation will.
  11. It's a good thing the ball wasn't jumping out of the park tonight. Salty and Middlebrooks both might have tied it.
  12. Patrick Corbin FTW
  13. Axelrod pitched a heck of a game tonight.
  14. Flowers calling for way too many curveballs
  15. QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ May 21, 2013 -> 02:36 AM) The dillema is do you warm Reed?! Knowing Ventura, he'll have Veal face Ortiz
  16. How long before rain?
  17. QUOTE (CWSpalehoseCWS @ May 21, 2013 -> 03:29 AM) Isn't Greene still under team control though? The Sox always seem to favor keeping the guy that they can't cut, which would be Sanchez. I'm pretty sure Sox would have to DFA Greene
  18. QUOTE (bbilek1 @ May 21, 2013 -> 02:29 AM) We need people to get outs. Aside from Reed and Crain, no one is pitching well enough to have a lot of trust in them. Thornton had been pitching real well
  19. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 21, 2013 -> 02:28 AM) I'm pretty sure that is why they wanted Hector out there in the first place. You have to have a bridge guy who can pick up innings when needed. Right now they don't have that. Especially with Danks likely to really struggle to give you innings.
  20. QUOTE (onedude @ May 21, 2013 -> 03:24 AM) I'm thinking, with Santiago's last game and DA this game, that Hector goes to the bullpen when Danks comes back. Lefty help I'd hope. That's a very likely scenario
  21. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ May 21, 2013 -> 03:21 AM) We need some LH help in the pen. Stat. MLB trade rumors quoted MLB execs that there is nothing good on the market right now with regards to relievers. Veal finding his release point might be our best bet.
  22. Lucky to still be in the lead. Red Sox were getting great pitches to hit against Thornton there.
  23. Just saw a stunning stat that Konerko hasn't popped up on the infield this season.
  24. QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ May 21, 2013 -> 02:47 AM) The holes in this lineup are miles deep... And this seems like a tough lineup compared to two weeks ago
  25. QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ May 21, 2013 -> 02:46 AM) The league is gonna just pitch around him. RV should move him up but he won't. He reminds me of a good hitting 8th hitter in the NL.
