  1. QUOTE (flavum @ May 5, 2013 -> 08:31 PM) Roy Halladay at the end? Yep, watch him retire after this season.
  2. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 5, 2013 -> 07:34 PM) Since April 20th, Rios is hitting .130 with a .435 OPS. And pulling off of everything. The early success seemed to make him home run happy.
  3. This team does so many stupid things at the plate.
  4. QUOTE (flavum @ May 5, 2013 -> 05:13 PM) Buddy Bell is on the Score. Said Hawkins will get checked out in Chicago this week. Expected to be 3-4 week injury. What a week
  5. Williams, as years of getting horrible returns on trades has caught up with the team.
  6. QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ May 5, 2013 -> 02:42 AM) The pressure on DR to play this round is gonna go through the roof. I completely disagree. If he wasn't able to go in game 6 where he was one of the healthier players on the roster, he's not going to play in a series that no one thinks they can win.
  7. Noah was simply incredible tonight. Heck of a win.
  8. Humphries giving the Bulls some quality minutes here.
  9. Taj just seems scared out there. He's slow to react on everything. Should be a heck of a finish coming up.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 4, 2013 -> 09:25 PM) Daryl Van Schouwen ‏@CST_soxvan 49m If peavy not ready Monday, santiago likely would pitch on short rest, Ventura said. So stupid, just call up someone instead of piling on the pitches for Santiago.
  11. Noah's having what should be a legendary Bulls performance tonight.
  12. QUOTE (Jake @ May 5, 2013 -> 01:50 AM) People were pissed to see him out there in crunch time in last year playoffs, but it sure is paying off now. Yep, he's far exceeded the expectations I had for him coming out of Marquette, where he got a ton of his points in the paint and especially at the FT line.
  13. QUOTE (buhbuhburrrrlz @ May 5, 2013 -> 02:49 AM) ya he's been miserable this series I'll be the first to admit I haven't followed the Bulls this year as closely as I did last year, but hasn't Taj been rather mediocre all season?
  14. Butler's composure is such a great attribute with someone like Nate on the court.
  15. Taj is just awful out there right now. Brooklyn with all the momentum.
  16. QUOTE (Jake @ May 5, 2013 -> 02:27 AM) Lots of doom and gloom about losing to a guy who hasn't lost for 16 starts following a series win against Texas, a better team than the one we're playing now. When you have the worst offense and defense in the AL, your team just isn't very good.
  17. Good game, good effort. This offense is so bad and boring.
  18. QUOTE (DirtySox @ May 5, 2013 -> 02:25 AM) I've been wondering what they would add at the deadline if in the running for a playoff spot. They still have some pretty nice prospects in that system. Right handed hitting power corner infielder or someone like Chase Utley
  19. QUOTE (Soxfest @ May 5, 2013 -> 02:20 AM) Get used to looking up to KC in the standings for awhile. We all knew this time was coming, but I think many predicted it would be next year. The Myers for Shields/Davis trade sped up the process significantly. As I said earlier in the game, this Royals team is just flat out more talented than the White Sox (something no one has said in a long time).

Beck went 5-1 due to 3 unearned runs
  21. QUOTE (DirtySox @ May 5, 2013 -> 01:16 AM) Word. Hahn inherited a mess. To be honest, I'm surprised that it took so long to blow up. It's a perfect storm right now with all these injuries combined with an average roster coming into the season with key players seemingly in decline. It happens, and it's something that probably 99% of this board was predicting would happen to this organization a few years ago. Now it's just a matter of not striking out on major trades, which happened far too often the last 5 years.
  22. QUOTE (Jake @ May 5, 2013 -> 01:13 AM) Have to wonder about his health considering the offseason injury, the spring training injury, and the back issue. Robin says he thinks Kep is struggling to deal with cold weather. That's bulls***, he played for the Reds long enough that if he didn't want to play in the cold, he shouldn't have signed here. I'm the one who questioned a few days ago if he was out of shape coming into ST after the injury, but his ST numbers were incredible.
  23. I didn't know the Sox had the worst OBP in the majors, even worse than the Marlins (and their pitchers having to hit).
  24. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ May 5, 2013 -> 01:11 AM) Happy Rick? Talk about being put into a terrible situation. With that said, I don't think the struggles of this team are a surprise to him at all. If he thought they could seriously contend this year, I'm sure he would have been way more active in the offseason.
  25. It's unbelievable just how worthless Keppinger has been so far. Thing is, without getting to face a lot of LHP in our division, he's going to end up being a seldom-played utility player.
