Sox vs Jays GT 4-18 6:07 CT
QUOTE (Capn12 @ Apr 19, 2013 -> 01:54 AM) Player #2 to the DL, inc! Time to find a back-up righty outfielder.

Oh boy, Viciedo won't be back for a while. If that's a strained oblique, that's really going to hamper him for a month or so.

QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 19, 2013 -> 12:47 AM) Just bench him against Worley and Diamond, and he can face Correia on Sunday. Exactly

QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Apr 19, 2013 -> 12:39 AM) Why did they take Dickey out? Good question, but good

QUOTE (DirtySox @ Apr 19, 2013 -> 12:35 AM) Yep. I'd like to see some more strikeouts though. I swear I thought you were talking about Hawkins at first.

QUOTE (Soxfest @ Apr 19, 2013 -> 01:34 AM) I hope he is not Teahan 2.0 Even if he's a total failure as a starter, he should have value as a utility player/specialist vs LHP.

Keppinger 0 for his last 15 now, and OPS is below .375

Sox vs Jays GT 4-18 6:07 CT
I wish the Sox only had one of Wise/Danks on the roster and added another righty on the bench. It would be nice to be able to bench Dunn against a LHP and have a righty take his spot.

I miss good Chris Sale. He should have had no problems with this bad lineup tonight. He needs to regain the swagger he had in the first half of last season.

QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 19, 2013 -> 12:18 AM) Eat the contract. Just bench him for 2 games and hope the mental break helps him out. This game is too similar to so many others from this year with bad defense.

QUOTE (Capn12 @ Apr 19, 2013 -> 12:01 AM) So let me see if I have this right....Dunn can't hit a slow fastball, can't hit a normal fastball, can't hit a hard fastball, can't hit a knuckleball.. Can I have that job, at that salary, please? He should be thankful it's going to be about 40 degrees tomorrow, as the fans would boo him like crazy at the Cell if they were any there.

Sox vs Jays GT 4-18 6:07 CT
1-32 with 11 strikeouts on the road trip for Dunn with only 2 walks
-
Sox vs Jays GT 4-18 6:07 CT
No idea why Dunn is playing tonight. He can't hit a straight 90 mph fastball right now, so a moving knuckler would be even more difficult for him.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 18, 2013 -> 11:54 PM) I think Keppinger's now 1/15 in this series. He needs to be moved from the 2nd spot if this lasts another week

QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 19, 2013 -> 12:25 AM) Hawkins--that's one I watched a highlight of a homer of his on Milb.com, and he crushed it. However, it looked like he had a gigantic hitch in his swing.

QUOTE (Baron @ Apr 18, 2013 -> 11:30 PM) Well arent you guys optimistic. He might allow some runs, but just seems like the type of game where there will be some quick innings.

QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Apr 19, 2013 -> 12:29 AM) Oh man, with this team and Dickey locating that knuckler, this team could strike out 13-14 before Dickey comes out. He'll complete this game

2013 Cubs catch all thread
QUOTE (Soxfest @ Apr 19, 2013 -> 12:07 AM) I do not see the deal happening at all Tampa would be insane to trade him. I think it's likely they trade him this offseason, as there's no way they can afford his next FA deal.

2013 Cubs catch all thread
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Apr 18, 2013 -> 10:16 PM) So the Rays would never trade Price to Cubs because of their lack of pitching prospects, but the Cubs system is so good that they can definitely trade for Price? Sorry hurt, let me clarify. The first part where you mention how I don't think the Cubs have the pitching prospects to make the deal happen was my realistic opinion on whether or not they match up. The second part was taking ss2k's question literally about how if the Cubs even have enough in their farm system to trade anyone and everyone to get Price, which I believe they do (but I highly, highly doubt they'd trade a package like Baez, Soler, Almora, Vogelbach and Lake for Price).
