  1. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Apr 6, 2013 -> 03:56 AM) Can't really blame him . Had to take the 1st pitch with the pitcher wild . 2nd pitch was aced outside corner. 2nd pitch looked like a pretty good pitch to hit. Something interesting with Flowers over the years is that he takes a ton of called 3rd strikes while at the same time swinging at a lot of 3rd strikes way out of the zone. Hopefully with more playing time, he'll show better plate discipline this year.
  2. QUOTE (Jake @ Apr 6, 2013 -> 03:54 AM) Not the best AB for TFlo to end it. Some positives, some negatives today. Trying not to get too wrapped up in early season stuff. Offense looked good, and lost in the comeback is that Quintana off to a dreadful start this year as he's the biggest question mark by far on the roster, IMO.
  3. Well, that's the Flowers I was worried we'd get this year. Great effort tonight by the team.
  4. Got to swing the bat!
  5. Just a flare, please!
  6. There we go DW! Steal 2nd now
  7. QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 6, 2013 -> 03:42 AM) Please retire, Hawk Wasn't as bad as him thinking Rios might have had a homer earlier in the game when it was probably 50 feet from going out.
  8. Just not our night
  9. Just realized the Sox haven't drawn a walk yet tonight...time for one!
  10. Nice relay...Jones was left out there to die.
  11. QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 6, 2013 -> 03:21 AM) Seems like games like this last year, we'd end up losing 10-6. Hopefully not tonight. I hate you sometimes
  12. Well, goes to show you how much Spring Training stats mean
  13. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Apr 6, 2013 -> 03:28 AM) Leaving Q in way too long was the first IMO. Nah, with how quickly it happened, it's excusable. Too early in the season to start having a short leash.
  14. What the hell, why weren't we walking him there? First real awful managerial decision of the year.
  15. That pitch was right in Beckham's hot zone if he was looking to turn on it.
  16. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Apr 6, 2013 -> 03:14 AM) Stellar work once again by the pen. 1st walk off of the year coming up. Sox had quite a few last year on Friday nights.
  17. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Apr 6, 2013 -> 04:07 AM) I keep waiting for DV to turn the corner hitting wise but just not happening so far. Need to face some LHP to get him going.
  18. Yuck, some meatballs the last two innings that the Sox couldn't make them pay for.
  19. Hanging breaking pitches galore for Mariners pitching tonight.
  20. QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 6, 2013 -> 04:01 AM) I've never seen Crain pitch that well (in games I've watched on TV in past). Nobody could touch that. It's pretty obvious he was never 100% last year.
  21. Crain's stuff looked incredible that inning.
  22. QUOTE (Jake @ Apr 6, 2013 -> 03:53 AM) I started shouting but that only gives it about 1:4 odds It might have been the shortest, most compact swing he's had in a Sox jersey.
  23. Wow, you have to be kidding me.
  24. Nice job manufacturing the run there. How about a WP?
